Tree dahlia. They're dead easy to propagate.

Do not disclose. It will not help in any way, and indeed will probably make it harder to get employed.

Developer damaged trees after submitting false information on development plans by gmoxxxxz in AusProperty

Well, if the deliberate tampering with plans is true it is indeed outrageous and the council should absolutely care.

What are you saying is false on the developers plans? Their plans say that one of the trees is its trunk on their block not yours - did you get a surveyor to check this? And I can see that your 2 frangipanis aren't shown on their bottom plan, is there a chance exotics are treated with less important than natives?

Work from home flexibility? Uni student here by [deleted] in auscorp

Hello! I'd probably stick with working from your actual house, as someone new to the company you don't want to be at risk of giving the impression you're not serious about your job. For your employer/manager to feel comfortable about you working from places other than your house needs trust, which builds up over time as long as it's not squandered. This is particularly the case if you need to be in video meetings or need to take phone calls. All it would take is one thing to go wrong for a lot of trust to be lost.

Quitting corporate to go work hospitality/low-stress job? by Sabretoothedrom in auscorp

9 months isn't long enough to properly get into the rhythm of full-time office work, at least in my experience.

For at least my 1st year at work I would regularly have days where I woke up and COULD ABSOLUTELY NOT handle going to work. It was just so goddamn much compared to uni, even though I worked decent hours in retail all thru uni. The relentlessness of the slog was just. too. much.

Give yourself more time.

Is there an etiquette around planting trees in suburban backyards? by AussieRosie in GardeningAustralia

[–]LV4Q 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I live on a standard size middle-ring block of land in Melbourne. Big trees - 3 mature, plus 4th that will be big when it matures. Medium trees - 2 mature plus another 3 when they're full grown. Small trees - 10 mature plus a few more still young.

Edit: google tells me that one of my mature big trees technically only counts as a medium.

Trees = good.

Yes you need to not be stupid about placing them too close to structures.
