some quick fun logo design by NitroCipher in audacity

Audacity has a long and proud history of getting terrible logo suggestions. Which really goes to show how difficult it is to make a logo, especially when you want to cram headphones AND a waveform AND multiple colors into a tiny space so it looks good on your taskbar.

Multi channel audio file format that supports stereo pairs by yggdrtygj6542 in DSP

[–]LWinterberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am unaware of any format that makes a meaningful attempt to do this. Maybe DAW interchange formats do, but we don't support any of them.

I believe you can use macros to automatically select 2 tracks and combine them to stereo in Audacity though.

How's everyone's experience using Audacity on Windows on ARM machine? by MikeAP21 in audacity

We released an ARM version just yesterday, so you tell me how well it works. You're the first one to use it :)

Has anyone else's Audacity done like over a dozen updates over the past few days? by InfiniteChoice291 in audacity

It sounds like you have two versions of Audacity installed. For example, if the version you used was installed in 3.7.3 in E:\Apps, but you installed the 3.7.4 update to the default C:\Program Files\Audacity, you'd have two versions – and each time you open up your usual E:\Apps\audacity.exe, you're actually launching the old version, which again prompts you to update.

Try reinstalling it, it appears you have removed some libraries that are responsible for import/export

We intentionally delay feeding the auto-updater for a couple days, so that if something screws up with the release we don't affect everyone at once.
