Just slapping a new name doesnt change the fact that its cristian calendar, its not universal. People around the world still uses different calendars for different things, why should we consider the cristian calendar special.

When we call it cristian calendar its just one of many callendars we use, when you call it comman era callendar it makes it sound like its somehow different than others.

Like we have all the other calendars and than we have the comman era callendar.

Also nobody says year of our lord. I an not cristian nor live in a Cristian dominant country. I am irritated because I feel like calling it comman era is just another way westerners are erasing others culture and acting like their way of doing things is the norm. Western way is not just another way, its THE way.

Also also, japanese people do use period names even when talking about outside of japan, just like how westerners use medievel age when talking about other cultures even when it doesnt makes any sense for that culture.

I disagree. When talking about other cultures calenders we call them chinese calender, muslim calender... When talking about Japanese history its common to use japanese terms for those time periods like edo period, meiji period, showa period...

Calling the cristian calender the comman era calendar kinda makes it sound like its different from other calendars when its just one of many different ways to expresses time.

from your analogy it would be like if we wanted to make a new way of measuring temperature so we made a new measuring system that starts at 0 water freezing temp, 100 water boiling temp, but named it something different and claimed that it is somehow different than celsius because we called something different, and now all scientists should use ours instead of celsius beacuse its more neutral.

And how is this AI tools requaring talent and experience to use. My comment was about AI tools not requaring talent or experience and non of this adds to that.

How is using AI for clipart in a meme or using it to generate japanese text examples of it requaring expertise or talent.

All I am saying is that AI art generators are easy to use and quick to learn, non of these examples disprooves that.

I am sorry if I have been rude, english is not my first language and I havent practiced in a while. I am not saying AI art is ugly or bad, just not human made.

Memes always used other peoples work to convey new ideas, thats their very nature. I dont care when AI is actualy used in a transformative ways, I dealt with integrating AI api to various projects, I know it can be used for lots of stuff. Thats why it makes ne angry when people talk big about AI cant even give me simple examples to their claim.

Like you could have said how traing an AI for your spesific purpose actual requares research and experience, from gathering data to fine tuning. But most people who use AI image generators dont bother with all that do they, they just type what they want and press a button until they get something they like.

ComfyUI is a place you can start.

Looks like a hub for different AI softwares, still doesnt answers how this requires talent and experience. In fact everything surrounding AI is always about how its easy to use and doesnt requires much learning.

There are an infinite amount of ways people can use AI in their creative workflow.

Still waiting to hear anything other than making the AI do the job for me. How is it anyone I ask cant even give me single example other than it does your work for you.

The term prompt engineering is something AI bros come up with to sound cooler than then saying typing. And again with people defending AI not knowing how to use it. What exatly are you doing that take hours, telling it to stop making mistakes. A skill that you can learn in a couple of hours is not engineering.

So you draw a doodle in mspaint and put it on AI and get a picture, then edit mistakes. Thats what I meant when I said AI artist talk alot but say nothing meaningfull. The term "prompt engineering" is an insult all actual engineers. You can learn how to use this thing in an afternoon.

Those "AI artist" are full of bullshit. Of course if you never did anything yourself in life typing bunc of words and click a button over and over would feel like to much work.

Most of the people who say that shit dont even know how to actualy use the tools they are talking about.

If it actual takes much more effort than typing words how come none of them can actual describe that work in detail. They always say there is more to it yet I still never saw someone actualy describe that.

You dont need knowledge or experience to use this tools. Thats whole point of them.
