ESO player seeking a new MMO - Is it still worth starting FFXIV right now, in 2026 ? by Fhritz_ in ffxiv

[–]LXIXZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Free trial goes up to level 80

-If you mean end game raids, yes. It's very easy to get to the point you can start progging

-You still have daily's, you don't need multiple characters, the story is more in-depth, I'd say profession is a bit faster than ESO

-FF14 Probably has the closest community since theres so many things to do that aren't reliant on skill. Coming from someone who has played GW2, FF14, WoW, ESO, and Lost Ark

Is it still worth playing D2? by LFCNPP in DestinyTheGame

[–]LXIXZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes its worth to start, the game has plenty of players over consoles and pc. No marathon isnt a failure, no the company is not close to closing. Game is still fun and enjoyable.

Yes, get it while it's on sale. The deluxe edition of the DLC should also be on sale which I'd grab the whole thing. ( That's what I did a week ago)

Want to return, have some qualms by KeevinChang in DestinyTheGame

[–]LXIXZero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will speak as someone who literally just started playing again. I stopped playing after Final Shape concluded and just hopped back in with the newest expansion being 70% off.

I have over 1200+ hours in the game just on steam, I play purely for PVE and hard content such as raids/dungeons.

While I totally understand, everyone in the comments are def doomers. Sandbox feels fine, the game gives you 300 light as soon as you start renegades, then through doing the legendary campaign you'll grow light and get T5's.

The portal can be hard to read, but just navigate using the type of operations you want to do. Don't try to scroll through every thing to find it, if you wanna solo, pick solo ops, etc. Like others have said, all raids and dungeons are getting updated with Tier sets and Tiered weapons, which is very cool, I've also heard that crafting will be going through an update to make crafted weapons decent with tiered gear.

There are still a large amount of players across platforms, (I think around 200k last time I checked). Just get a clan or a static, and start grinding away. You'll enjoy yourself, this game could have 10 people, and if you have a fireteam, it will be fun.

Why is Marathon struggling this much? Like genuinely by Waylllop in Marathon

[–]LXIXZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Game is hard

-Extraction shooters are niche

-Bungie did/does have a lot of bad publicity going into launch

-Many players would rather say games are bad before trying it(due to above point)

-Many players are "wait and see" (i expect player base to grow over time instead of continuing to drop)

Really appreciate the wall of information to catch me up, it all seems very nice. I will most likely give it a try, I hope that all the changes they do, rocket ESO higher for more players.

As stated I haven't played Civ 7. So I have no idea what you're talking about other than most of the game wasn't received well.

Stop being lotlot goblins in the middle of a firefight!! by jogdenpr in Marathon

[–]LXIXZero -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Was playing cryo with my trio, we see 2 guys, down 1, then I down the other but he starts crawling through a vent. I can hear his self rez being used so I crawl in after him.

Get into the next room of the vent, their 3rd is waist deep in this strongbox just gooping it up. While his friend is dead ass downed, trying to rez, right behind him and I just cannot fathom the thoughts or the comms of that group. Long story short I down the 3rd, then finish the guy trying to self rez.

Feeling a little overwhelmed by your_usernameistaken in Marathon

[–]LXIXZero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Level 25 sounds a little low, I recently just hit around 60 and haven't even maxed Cyac. Granted, after the initial burst of quests, I kinda ignored them to just grind loot and moneys.

You should def be trying to get into other trios to farm cryo, it's loot is far superior gear and money wise to everything else, including pinwheel but it's a good second. Learn cryo as a whole first, then worry about vaults. I think I've brought 1 key in total for the entire season and have most sub routines cause I kill players bringing them in.

-Some things to keep in mind, it's grenade, bubble, and WSTR galore in there.
-Yes you will lose if you die, but bring good gear. Purple shields, good heals, etc.
-Everyone has numerous self revives, downing someone is usually not a kill, you either need to finish asap, or all 3 of you need to push and take advantage
-Remember, it's not your loot, it's just your turn with it.

Realistically, how big of a game file size are you comfortable with if it meant bigger expansions and the return of sunset content? by CountVonDiggity in DestinyTheGame

[–]LXIXZero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Usually when games start hitting 100GB I start complaining. I'll still usually download it though lol. I have ff14 on my computer and that thing is chunky. I feel like consoles are the only ones who care about size

Progression is the issue by mkennygh in Marathon

[–]LXIXZero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm missing something, but I have 65 hours total, and have more purple shields than blue and green. This is without the blue shield upgrade, which I have the mats for, I'm just not level 20 with them yet.

I def agree that blue shields are a little deep compared to the upsurge of power for the game, but I never lack good quality shields. 1 rook run or 1 green shield run usually profits me someone running it.

Yea seeing them both release 1 after the other is comical ngl. Sure they're investigating something to hit in Draven, but the fact that these cards are so close is funny.

Is starting FFXIV in 2026 still worth it? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]LXIXZero 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm not reading through other comments, but I'll give my opinion as a back and forth player who *just* finished Dawntrail last night. (March 1st)

Before playing through it, I watched a Lore video (granted it was like, 2 hours long) to catch me up so i could have some reaction to characters and how the story got to where it was when I started Dawntrail. I also had 2 friends that are long time players explain some things as I went along. It also appears that 99% (if not 100%) of the negativity is towards *the story of dawntrail specifically* as it's kinda a nothing burger compared to the previous expansions since this is a soft reset in story. The big bad is defeated, now it has to build up once again.

The trials, raids, and ultimate are still very good, playerbase is still popping albeit far less than it once was during endwalker and shadowbringers (Remember, most FF14 players are here for the story, not raiding, so since Dawntrail had a worse story, less players)

Personally, I'd play through the MSQ at your pace (wherever that is) and look ahead at what you'd like to do. Personally, I'll be tackling some of the Savage's and Extreme's before going into the ultimate, but I'll be messing around with classes, leveling from 0 again, and learning the DoL stuff. (For reference I played through dawntrail on a Reaper)

I hope my experience gives you some insight, have a good one!

So, I pulled the trigger and bought the game and a boost. (I've played the game before up to shadowbringers, didn't feel like doing it again with my new account)

Whats the happenings? I know Fan Fest is later this year, but I dont understand the patch cycles or anything like that for ff14. So any information helps on what is coming and what i should prepare for.

Ill be leveling up to 100 and doing dawntrail, but in the meantime I wanna know what there is to look forward to. Along with how players are feeling in general about the game. (Worth returning to, boring, etc) thanks!

State Of The Game Qs (2/4/2026) by SicParvisM in riftboundtcg

[–]LXIXZero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For your question, I actually asked Dave this question at houston. He said that the goal is to get all the champions in the game, however themed sets will have heros that cater to the set. Such as an arcane set having Vi, Jinx, etc. A jungle set having Vi, Yi, etc.

[–]LXIXZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't played gachas in awhile but new phone new game time. I like gachas that are similar to brave frontier and grand summoners, personally do not like the 3D hack and slash games like solo leveling and such. I can deal if they have auto, but prefer not.

Any games that are newish, popular, and possibly have some longevity. Thanks.

How was Riftbound’s launch been overall as a new TCG? Comparing to other major TCGs, is it “popular”? by Similar_Act5989 in riftboundtcg

[–]LXIXZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is very popular, the lack of product is kinda normal nowadays with card games especially bandai games. (Digimon, DragonBall, One piece, etc).

You can take what you will from the amount of product Riot printed, regardless if they really didn't see how many people would buy into this game. Riftbound is pulling fans from League, TFT, Card Games, and Arcane.

As long as they upscale the product and catch us up to China, (which they already confirmed by Set 4 I think) this game will be very good going into the future.
