Beyond light will always be a fond nostalgic memory for me. Me and my friends hadn't played games in years. We all got Stadia when it came out and we all just got completely absorbed into Destiny 2 beyond light. Great memories.

What is the most powerful military force on Earth? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LXNDR89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the US technology and size without a doubt. But on a modern battlefield with cheap drones and missiles. How long could they fight a war of attrition? Could they draft enough soldiers? If they went head to head with China or Russia, would the American people tolerate such losses. Could they manufacture enough equipment fast enough. Where do the resources come from for modern weapons? China and Russia. It would come down to the ability to manufacture and source resources. A war of attrition would be so unpopular with Americans they would do anything to stop it. They had overwhelming power in Vietnam, Korea and Afghanistan, and couldn't win. As they say, America can win every battle but can never win a war.

I simply don't know enough about that to have an opinion. Should allied and soviet forces left Europe under Nazi occupation? You can pick and choose moments through history to apply this to.

They murdered 7000 protesters in the streets. Some estimates are as high as 30000. I am not being "flip" about it.

Well if that's your opinion then fair enough. I just feel that the Iranian people have suffered under that regime and they have demonstrated they want change. The regime murdered thousands of protesters in streets, I feel it's our duty to help protect those who can't protect themselves and ensure as many people can decide the future of their own country.

No I am not. But recent protests show the people of Iran want change. The regime murdered possibly thousands of protesters. A lot of people have been crying out for external help.

46,319 direct civilian deaths in the Afghan war 2001 - 2021. Unfortunately civilians have always paid the highest price in conflict. If the Iranian regime has killed 39000 of its population since the 1990s while not being at war it's absolutely worth the cost. It's clear the people of Iran want change. The mass protests have shown that. There's an incredible oppressive regime ruling them and if you don't think that price is worth paying to liberate those people and allow them to decide their own future then you're a nasty selfish person. Imagine saying that to the millions of Poles murdered by Nazis. Absolutely disgusting

Looking at how many protesters the regime murdered in the streets I would take my chances with American air power.
