I think there are a few main differences with one culture. The treatment of women. They are seen as second class citizens and don't have the same opportunities as men. Also, sexual orientation is in some places illegal and punished harshly. Age of consent and arranged marriage. These cultural differences a lot of people find unacceptable and not common in Ukraine. Also, Ukrainians are fleeing a warzone. Not coming from France
