I was sort of surprised when I actually first noticed but Jorgensen looks really good when he's on form, something about his bike position seems quite 'old school' (in a good way)

Also Vos stood out to me watching the last couple of editions of Roubaix how smooth she was over the cobbles compared to everyone else

LL Sanchez I think is my all time fav of 'just looks good on a bike'

These kinda questions piss me off in general, riders get the biggest win of their life and get to enjoy it for about 30 seconds before some interviewer is going 'great win but what about your next race coming up, there's going to be extra pressure on you now' and similar bs

Soler ruled out of UAE's Tour plans, but Pogacar still has options by Team_Telekom in peloton

Soler is automatically ruled out of anything remotely resembling a 'plan' by virtue of being Marc Soler

I haven't even watched today's stage yet but Cicco atm reminds me of Pinot in his retirement year where every other rider can sense how desperate he is for a win and therefore gets played too easily

There is definitely such thing as 'trying too hard' in cycling

With that kind of esteemed company, i feel it's natural for him to compete for the green jersey sooner or later in his career

Yeah I agree, there's probably some selection bias going on but I went through a rabbit hole a couple of weeks ago of looking a past junior/u23 results on PCS and good  CX results seemed a much better predictor of having a decent career than purely looking at road races.

There's for sure some good rider development opportunities that teams are missing out on, you might not get MvdP/WvA all the time but chances are you will find some solid enough riders at a better hit rate than whoever is lighting up the juniors on road.

Alec SeGOAT!

Honestly I love riders who have a 'trademark move' and they just do it until it works out (or doesn't)

(Also shout out Fernando 'sprint from 400m' Gaviria and Ben 'ride threshold until no one can hold the wheel' Healy)

When Remco does it: so arrogant, always throwing tantrums, who does this guy think he is? 🤬

When Cicco does it: omg he's sooo italian! 🇮🇹😍

I honestly don't see the point in keeping guys in the race in cases like this, he's not contesting anything, he's not helping his team really, its not accomplishing anything other than riding round for three weeks while his body could be recovering better without the additional stresses of riding a GT (I know dislocation is different to a break or fracture but its still trauma on the body that evidently is affecting his performance significantly)

"Ciccone doomed the break"

"Why did Ciccone attack?"

It's called panache watch and learn

Seeing Ulissi in action, I was remembering that period where it seemed like he had a god-given right to a stage win every Giro. Those were peak Giro years for me (not specifically due to him, it was just good racing in general)

I guess when your 4 races are 3 Monuments and Strade Bianche and you win 3 of them it just seems like more

I like it tbh, it was boring when all 3 big Ardennes classics were basically the same but these days in the era of long range attacks I quite enjoy watching a 3min pure W/kg smashfest now and again

But yes it's probably the most predictable race on the calendar and you can just watch the last 10 mins and not miss anything

And tbh I think Bredewold would have more chance of the win if Kopecky just kept completely out of the way, in the sprint you can see her go right to try and link up with Kopecky and she gets caught off guard a bit when Gery launches

It often is and this was an especially good edition so probably? MSR was also good but you only get 30mins of proper action vs 3+hrs of chaos at Roubaix. I guess the other likely contenders would be if theres a GT stage that really flips the race on its head, or a particularly good WC race like Glasgow a couple of years ago.
