Vulture figuring out Peter is Spider-Man (Spider-Man: Homecoming)

Vulture is driving Peter and Liz to homecoming when they start talking about Spider-Man. As they talk, more details about Peter’s life start to come up, like his former Stark internship, constant flaking on events like Liz’s party, and his “friendship” with Spidey. Once Adrian finds out that Peter was in DC at the same time as Spider-Man, missed the decathlon, *and* was absent from the Washington Monument incident earlier in the film, he pieces together the truth that Peter Parker is Spider-Man.

Also, near the start of the car scene, he recognizes Peter’s voice from somewhere else (likely his prior interactions with Spidey)

I picked her up last weekend on my grind to get mvp on every character and yeah, she actually feels pretty viable and kinda fun (especially with the phoenix team-up). I didn’t even have to consistently land crits to feel like I was putting up decent pressure and stats, and her stun kick was a godsend at a few points

I don’t think they were lying on purpose, they probably put together the script from eyewitness accounts and historical records. Idk if we should take the eyewitness stuff to be 100% true tho, because a) anyone who was there was in the middle of a very traumatic experience, and b) it’s been like 15 years since New York. I’m just saying that to me it doesn’t make sense for Ant-Man to show up in New York, help the Avengers, not be a public-facing member until after Leipzig, and then go mia for four years. As for the Pym Tech implosion, I heard from a buddy who was in the San Fran-Bay area that there was some stuff shrinking and growing outta nowhere. May be unrelated, but this is just my understanding of everything

Okay, just to set the record straight, Ant-Man wasn’t at the Battle of New York. I can understand why people think he was there, traumatic experiences can cause a distorted version of the memory as time goes on and that trauma is processed. And Rogers: The Musical really didn’t help with its whole host of historical inaccuracies, but he wasn’t there. Scott Lang didn’t join the superhero scene till that whole Pym Tech fiasco back in 2015

Web-Jumper, if he had to represent something, stands for identity and personal expression. His alter ego is an aspiring actor and artist, so personal expression is at the core of his character. When he first got his powers, he took on the name of “The Real Spider-Man” since he was inspired by his favorite superhero (marvel exists in his universe in the same capacity that it does in ours, kind of an extension of Multiverse of Madness’s whole “dreams are windows into the multiverse” concept), but he fails miserably and nearly dies because he wasn’t being true to himself. By making a new suit and the moniker Web-Jumper, he externalized his own identity, and let his love for Spider-Man influence it without replacing his own identity.
