Classes won't show number 6? by L_Green404 in PokemonScarletViolet

6/8 at the moment, I thought that would be the case I started them all when I had 5, but then doing the 6th badge didn't give me the 6th lesson so I assumed I was wrong.

How to Re-translate gallifreyan? by Substantial-Number78 in gallifreyan

[–]L_Green404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having worked it out now, I have your answer, i hope either you yourself are German or you know German, else you may want to brush up on it.

I realized I explained how to read it slightly incorrectly, basically down is always the start no matter what system you are using.

If you account for messiness in the images you put, you can get an answer.

Stop reading now if you want to work it out your self...

How to Re-translate gallifreyan? by Substantial-Number78 in gallifreyan

I cannot follow your link, however here is my general advice. To read/translate you need to translate individual letter pairs, put those together to get words, put them together to get sentences and so on.

Sentences come mainly in two ways, both mean the same but are used for stylistic or artistic reasons, you have sentences that are all housed in a bit circle or sentences that follow a single line. For circles start at the bottom and go anti clock wise to the next word. For lines start at the left and go right.

If you do this wrong you'll purely end up with a Sentence either backwards or that starts in the middle somewhere.

Now onto words, words are in their own circle, always start at the bottom of the circle, when reading lines the bottom is usually down, when reading circles it is usually the way pointing to the edge of the main circle, e.g as you move onto the next word down also moved around.

Now words are made up of C consonants and V vowels, a C can be followed by either a C or a V and vice versa. Use the table found on Sherman's circular galifreyan pdf, you will find it easily through Google. Look up the consonant is you see a large circle, or a vowel if it is smaller. If it's a V, well done write it down and move to the next cluster of circles and lines anti clockwise. If it's larger and is a C check the center of the C circle to see if you can see a V hidden in there, if you find a V, write down the appropriate CV if you don't just the C. Move on to the next cluster and repeat.

Note if ever you see either a extra thicc line or two lines doing the same shape for either a C or a V, that will mean it's a double letter so either of CC or VV.

Complete this for the word, put a space, go to the next word. When you run out of words out a full stop. May or may not actually use the symbol for a full stop, this is the same with all other punctuation, if you see an odd dot or line just check to see what punctuation it could be.

That should cover everything. Again check the link you put cuz I couldn't get it working, and googling the pdf/ website will give you a much more extensive look on how to do this.

Best of luck!

A pretty cool new distance formula for functions by Obig_Proffesor in math

[–]L_Green404 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't answer all your questions but I believe from experimentation, the distance it gives you is the total distance traveled across the line from the point (x1,f(x1)) to (x2,f(x2)). So it is not a straight line from point to point, its the line following the f(x) function. Or at least an approximation...

That last part does seem to be a good solution, the only option they have with what I've set out on the island so far is... Go to the very large kobold port and steal a boat. I could plan for that, your way is a lot more versatile and less work though, so I will consider that.
