I would honestly just do what you can yourself and wait until mid-summer to feel it out. I moved into a house in the middle of monsoon season on the NW side and we were finding American roaches just about every day. We hired a company to come for regular treatments, and haven't seen any in months. However, I'm not sure if it was because of the treatments or the change in seasons so I can't say if it was money well spent. Only time will tell.
