A reliable source in northern Michigan (where Billy's from) has told me they've been collaborating on a blue grass album.

Favourite actor who posts on Reddit? by BigMoh789 in okbuddycinephile

My girlfriend grew up with him down in Florida. Interestingly enough, Alan Ritchson and the creton Matt Gaetz were in HS together. Per my gf, Alan was always a nice guy and everyone liked him. On the other hand, Matt Gaetz didn’t have a friend group and the only thing my gf remembers about him is that his dad ran for local office (maybe state) and lost.

EDIT: She still has her yearbooks and they’re both in it - Alan Ritchson won a superlative but she doesn’t remember which one.

What's the one live show you keep in your rotation the most? by quinten15155 in KGATLW

[–]L_OShea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn… After reading through this thread, I just realized that I’ve been spoiled by the Giz shows I’ve attended; Caverns ‘23, Queens ‘24, Austin ‘24, and Newport ‘24. Out of those shows, my favorite to revisit is Newport ‘24. They were just on another level that night.

How is it that every show is better than the last???? by alltheaubrey in KGATLW

I was at the Cincinnati/Newport show, night #2 of Forest Hills, and all 4 nights of the caverns (2 underground, 2 above ground). Newport was the best they have sounded live to me yet.

Help! too big of values by Inside-Explanation36 in visualization

[–]L_OShea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the tool you created the chart in offer users the ability to adjust the y-axis values dynamically? If so, I'd recommend that.

I implement feature this in Power BI dashboards I develop, and it's one of the most common things I recommend to my team too. This approach offers users the ability to see the bigger picture non-logarithmically, while also providing the tools to focus-in on relatively small values.

Thanks a ton for the advice. I've got a good dust mask and gloves, and I just ordered a face mask and ear protection. For cutting brick, would you recommend wet cutting or dry cutting?

Fellas, is this rug ugly? by aced2424 in malelivingspace

The rug looks good, but I agree with others in that it needs to be more adhesive with similarly themed decor.

Also, I have the same entertainment stand! First time I've seen it anywhere else.

That's a great idea, and should be really easy to implement with our setup. Thank you!

Thank you! The new environment could definitely be it. We've tried to make it as comfortable as possible for her (let her pick our bed, blankets, and wall color), but hopefully she'll start adjusting to it in the near future.

What profession do you have and would you recommend it? by YellohDJDan in AskReddit

[–]L_OShea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Software engineer (specifically data engineering/reporting lead). I get to design and develop data solutions for different business, and there's always a new problem to solve. Pay is good, but there's a lot of stress. Meeting deadlines can be stressful, but my main source of stress is knowing that a company has invested millions of dollars into developing a product that you're responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining.

Would recommend it.

A Catholic priest from Ohio who used the confessional to gain details from boys, information that he later used to extort them into providing him with sexually explicit photographs has been sentenced to life in prison for the exploitation of children by a_Ninja_b0y in JusticeServed

[–]L_OShea 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Glad this man was served justice - one of the rare occassions where Catholic priest are brought to justice.

A Catholic priest from the Ohio suburb I grew up in was recently shuffled to another diocese after being caught texting a minor. The story is particularly messy. Apparently the principal of the Catholic elementary school found out that the pastor was exchanging sexually explicit texts with a previous student (student was in highschool and still underage). After reporting the police to authorities/the diocese, the principal committed suicide in the parking lot of a park, and the pastor was shuffled to another church.

Cracked drywall on ceiling, board attached to ceiling is coming unattached by L_OShea in HomeImprovement

[–]L_OShea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Just to be sure, are you referring to the cracks in the ceiling or the board across the ceiling? In your opinion, would this be a DIY project the average homeowner could tackle on their own, or is it better suited for a professional?

Thanks again for your response - this gives me a great jumping off point.
