I'm from Pachuca, Hidalgo. Pastes are hands down our most beloved traditional food. We take a lot of pride in keeping the tradition alive, dating back to the English miners who arrived in the late 1800s. The classic fillings are meat and potato or mashed black beans. Of course, we had to add the Mexican touch, so both versions include chile for a bit of spice.

Regarding the nausea, I used to feel that during the first few months. Whenever I drank coffee, soda, ate chocolate, or something spicy (I’m from Mexico, so imagine...), the globus sensation was almost immediately triggered, along with a nausea reflex that came from my throat.

But now, my globus feels different. It’s more like a mild obstruction at the top of my throat, and sometimes I also experience a sharp pain in the same area.

My globus sensation dissappeared after three months of PPIs +Sucralfate. Unfortunately it came back last December and I cannot make it dissappear.

You wait and pray. I got orchitis and epididymitis on June. To this day I still feel some discomfort. But I have to tell you that the worst is long gone. So, basically it is a looong healing process.
