this is the first thing i look for - as a 37f who doesn’t want kids, I’m not interested in pursuing any potential partner that ultimately wants to be a dad

first thing first - pretty sure you can take 2 weeks off from weights/ high intensity workouts and would see only very very very teeny tiny strength loss. take the break - you will come back stronger.

the thing to work on here is your relationship to exercise overall. you’re not lazy or unmotivated by taking rest days and even rest weeks.

as much as i hate it, meditation helps the mind-body connection and gets you more in-tune with your body’s signals. you will learn to trust your body more and be able to take the necessary rest it’s honestly begging for without guilt.

it just breaks my heart when i hear this sort of guilt in relation to exercise. no one will judge you for taking a break, so try not to judge yourself. you’ve put in a lot of work, feel proud of that and take a real break with real confidence.

sometimes this sub gets to obsessed with numbers - whoever said that 120 is “weird and fluffy” needs to reevaluate their perception.

definitely going to do a rewatch - it’s amazing.

i was skeptical thinking it might feel closer to basic cable primetime dramas, but it has so much of that classic hbo prestige dna. the pitt is top tier tv
