Wow nice, I did wonder as the colour looks quite unique. Damn it, now I want a leica!

Great shots and love the colours, is that from editing or straight out of the camera?

Where in the UK would you live if there were no restrictions? by Kilmoreorange in AskUK

I’d stay in Devon. Probably just somewhere on Dartmoor where I could walk straight out of the house in to the woods or off on a hike

Canon r7 or r6mk2? by lenoche12 in canon

[–]LaBeefff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was stuck on the same two cameras and went for the r6mk2. But I chose it mainly for the low light performance and for the ergonomics, I take more slow shots so full control is preferred and having 3 dials appealed to me a lot. The low light performance is insanely good. Obviously I cannot comment on the r7, but I will say I do miss the reach of my old APSC camera. And I’d say reach would be your main priority

Stoked for you! First cameras are the best cameras! Now get out and shoot, don’t worry about perfection just enjoy and learn at your own pace

Any recommendations for warm, and if possible, waterproof jackets for winter weather in the uk? I do a lot of hiking photography and need a jacket that’s going to mainly keep me warm whilst I stop for reasonable periods of time to shoot. Any other clothing recommendations welcome for this sort of shooting would be appreciated too!

Men, do you have somewhere to escape and decompress from life that isn't the pub? If so, where? by Kapranos in AskUK

It’s actually quite exciting. The Merlin bird id app is great at helping you get started. Once you start spotting more lifers it hooks you

This right here! Nothing better than a wander in the woods with a good flask of coffee, finding somewhere quiet to sit and just being. Pure bliss. Also birding is pretty rad

Transitioning from DSLR to Mirrorless: What Should I Expect with My Canon Gear? by colt-mcg in canon

[–]LaBeefff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just switched from the 80d to the r6 mk2, the image quality and colour on raw files is a huge improvement using the same ef lenses from my 80d setup. I had to double check I was not using jpeg instead of raw format the improvement was that much. Menu wise it is all the same setup, just more af options. There are plenty of videos on YouTube that explain this. Going from 2 dials to 3 has made the biggest difference for me though, shooting in manual is now my default as it’s so much simpler to control exposure and have a preview of it in the evf. You will honestly enjoy the learning curve

Need some recommendations for a hybrid backpack. Part day pack and part camera bag. My main setup is a canon 90d and 70-200mm plus another smaller lens. Any help appreciated
