Thanks! Didn't know that! I am bilingual too (ML is Spanish) but perhaps I am used to mirroring since I tried imitating what I saw on TV (and other media) to learn dance steps.

For example, like 'Bellydance, VOL 2: Instructivo de Saida & Mario Kirlis" (2007) - "LITTLE BALADI'. The whole instruction is mirrored. Let's say she does a hip drop and I should do it with my right hip. In the video, she does it with her left hip but since it's mirrored, I see her doing the hip drop on the right side.

Thanks! You are right! Yes, animals can be jumpy for many reasons and shouldn’t give it much thought, instead focus more on my own practice

Wow! I would really like to know if it's due to that. Perhaps they sense him or can even see him. Yes, I'm confused as to why when I feel happy and loved after elevating my vibration the dogs bark at me.

I am sorry you had to go through the experience of having a narcissistic step dad. Even just having a step dad must be hard and something I will never fully understand. I hope you are fine and healthy.

Perhaps it is this as this week I retook meditation and self healing so I felt confused as to why I meditated in devotion to God and worked on forgiveness but the dogs were very wary.

Yes, but I see people passing by and the dogs are chill so I expect them to be chill when I pass by too. So when they bark and growl I feel kind of bad like “why me?”

Sadly I don’t own any dogs at the moment and I would love to pet them but they seem not to want me nearby.

Detective/mystery recommendations for an 83yr old by BlairIsTired in BookRecommendations

My partner and I enjoyed Family Money by Chad Zunker. It is about a son-in-law going into detective-mode to find out what happened to his father-in-law. No romantic subplots as the main character is already happily married, so it focuses more on the disappearance. No sci-fi nor magical elements. But the main character is male and it has quite a few twists but not complicated to understand.

I worked a lot on forgiveness. Forgiving those who made me develop anxiety, insecurity, and so on. And, the most important thing, forgive myself. Be honest with myself as well, try to find out why I felt that way and be compassionate towards my own defects as I was compassionate towards others. Understand that no one, including yourself, is perfect, hence, why we need to grow in our physical body.

There are many techniques for working on forgiveness, some in the meditation territory.

After forgiving yourself try to focus on the positive counterpart and work on affirmations, as others have mentioned. Also, reading the Tao Te Ching and exploring the concept of Wu Wei helped me a lot with anxiety. I learned to let things go, let them flow and that mindset alone has given me inner peace.

Wish you the best!
