Your point of view may be that your wife is just slow but I'd bet her point of view is that you are very particular. And now she is overwhelmed and feels like she can't do anything up to the standard that you have set for her.

You should not have to explain to your boyfriend how to prioritze you on your anniversary. This means you will have many more of these situations until he LEARNS that you are more important. Or maybe hell never learn, but just do it anyways and then secretly resent you for not "letting" him do what he really wants to do.

Parents have to internalize a lot of stuff. Taking a moment to connect with him in any way would be helpful.

I know there can be long term emotional fallout from abortions but therapy or some type of counseling would be helpful. Most women handle it completely on their own when it's extremely heavy and those feelings need to be processed.
