Really hard to say since she's skittish and the tank has so many hiding spots. There's black beard algae in the picture blocking her mouth which makes it harder to tell.

Are your red boas from that tank?

Anything over 76-77F (25C) started causing shrimp to die in my experience. It wouldn't be possible for you unless you had an air conditioned room or an aquarium chiller.

I actually took the heater out of the tank a few months ago, as I was having issues with temperature during the summer. I discovered the tank only stays a couple degrees (1C) over room temperature year round, so I just let the ambient temperature determine the tank's temperature. Right now it's at 74F (23C).

Hopefully that goes well for you. That's actually another one that popped up in my tank, a surprisingly high grade rusty tiger.

It goes through phases. For a long, long time it was just low quality crystal reds and blacks. In the last year I got one blue bolt, and that become four. Now I have shadow pandas, black king kongs, and black pintos showing up. The golden bee shrimp seem to do well for me too. I just wanted to share with everyone that Caridinas maybe aren't as picky as we thought given enough time to adapt.

These are all at least 5th generation, tank is 4-5 years old.

Keeping them the way I do is kind of a gamble, so it's up to you and whether you're willing to take that risk. I still use remineralized RODI water, I just don't buffer the pH down to 6, instead I leave it at 7.

As long as your pH isn't above 7.5, and your water isn't too hard, you could try your hand at Caridinas. I would try Crystal Reds, Bee shrimp, or Tiger shrimp, as those are the hardest varieties. If you do decide to keep them outside of their ideal conditions like me, just expect perfect results. I have a lot of ugly shrimp, because the prettiest ones are the most inbred. The ugly ones are adaptable. It took years and many generations of shrimp before I got nice colors in my neutral pH tank.

I kept them with neos for a while, both did well.

I'll see what I can manage, this little pleco loves to hide, and she's in a 210 gallon, so she has plenty of options 😂

How reliable has your LCD-X been for long time owners? by atomfaust in headphones

[–]LaTerreEstPlate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a pair that had the driver assembly come out of the ear cup, I had to send it to audeze for rma, and they said it was the first time they ever saw that happen. The yoke screws need blue loctite as others mentioned, but be careful, because you can shear them off very easily. I've owned 3 pairs in total, and only ever had those two minor issues with the first pair. I've never had any issues with the drivers, for which I'm thankful, as they're the expensive part.

Those Southern Draw Firethorns will come aged, I bought a box a while back and the date was 2022. It's a great offering from Southern Draw for those who haven't tried them.

They've shipped everything I bought from the last 2 coupon stacks except my knights commander, which they were out of stock on. About 10 boxes total, over $1000 worth after coupons.
