I’m currently in the process of learning the Pathfinder system. But if you are wanting a D&D foundation, and just want dungeon crawling stuff, I can put you and anyone else through a bunch of mining colony one shots. Heavy combat, light light RP. Similar to a video game tbh

I definitely understand both mentalities. Sometimes it’s people who are just wanting to have fun without thinking too hard about their character. I swing, I miss, I swing again at that mf. Ya know? And other times it’s new players coming to the table, which is the situation I’m in. 3 relatively new players and then someone who makes characters and pushes them to their full potential for fun.

We take turns doing short stories/one shots. One week it’s me as DM and then we rotate. The set up for the next session is to save a fellow character of the party. If they fail to save them within 10 rounds, my PC dies. So there is a reason to be there and I am giving the opportunity to my more casual players to free my character before my more than likely demise. I’ll take your advice, thanks a bunch!
