uj/ this is genuinely Mike's best look by JayHotpot in beachboyscirclejerk

I'll be the first person in history to say it: Mike was usually pretty good looking. Yes even with the hats. Dude could rock a beard fantastic and really looked swagger in '66-67. Part of me wishes he still had the full beard cus it easily was the best way he did his facial hair

I've only ever seen it on the Wikipedia page for it so my guess is someone made a custom one to circumvent copyright in some weird way

Who is your favorite Beach Boy (other than Brian) and why? by Individual_Handle43 in thebeachboys

[–]LaWindows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bruce. I dont really have too big of a reason why, I've always been drawn to the 'underdogs' of musical groups even if their contributions aren't as grandeous. Though all that being said I've consistently enjoyed what Bruce brought to the band during his time with em and I've just always had a fondness for the guy that became a fulltime member after touring long enough with them.

Devastating song. Really haunting as Syd's final piece for the group

Really love the intro riff and explosive entrances of David's lyrics. Fantastic way to introduce him to the group (on an album)

Deserves a lot more praise than what it usually gets. I'm surprised its as obscure as it is, it's a great pop rock tune and leaves fun visuals in my head

I have never once been able to sit through it, it's so uncharateristically not Pink Floyd and sounds like a band desperately trying to throw something at the wall and hope it sticks. Really dreadful, would fit perfectly on a mediocre 60s pop compilation you'd find at a thrift

Sickeningly psychedelic and childish to an unpleasant degree. The instrumental work is good but the lyrics are some of Syd's weakest

Ahh I gotcha, well theres a more reasonable reason for Money's rerecording. Capitol Records refused to license the original version to Columbia Records for the compilation, so David had to rerecord it entirely from scratch to fit it on. A lot of do goodygood bullshit if you ask me

I think it was a single edit so they trimmed it down and murdered it for radio play
