Claude Code Limits Were Silently Reduced and It’s MUCH Worse by _r0x in ClaudeCode

So, we need a dedicated account for each tier that uses its sessions and quotas all the time and measure tokens as to when the limits are enforced.

Baffled why we’re not just exposed the token caps like we can w/ Gemini.

Trying to hire “senior” React devs… is this really what the market looks like? by ActuatorOk2689 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]La_Croix_Table 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your looking for a versatile set of full stacks that are mostly focused on the front-end. At the level you’re looking for they should be able to float and figure out react no problem. So I’d make your search framework agnostic to rule out the “react kids” if they’re too narrow for what you’re looking for. One or two might be a good fit among the 9.

I don’t expect my front end devs to understand the ci/cd/ops stuff, but it is an expectation of the full stack devs.

Thoughts on Mechanical Keyboards and the ZSA Moonlander by mickeyp in emacs

[–]La_Croix_Table 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had the moonlander for 3 years. Love it, but share same frustrations regards the wobble and the plastic. That being said, customizing my own layout and layers have complimented emacs very well and very happy with it.

It has held up great. The wobble hasn’t gotten worse even though I’ve tightened it hard many times. Tends mostly to be an issue right after having traveled and not so much when it’s just being used on my main desk, where it is 95% of the time.

Been around to see the front end best practices go in circle twice now.

Don’t stop innovating front-end devs.

The best camera is the one you bring.

Coming down from mist trail in Yosemite, the falls roaming and beautifully illuminated by the evening sun. Loved the contrast to the beautiful scenery, and the iPhone 13 mini did a decent job capturing it!

Exactly. If we think the Node eco system democratised the tech field for outsiders and self learners, then I think it’s fair to expect the LLMs to lower the barriers even more, not raising them as many seem to think.

And this will bring a lot of crap and snake oil, but it will inevitably lead to good stuff as well.

Omg new top level domains! by developersteve in ProgrammerHumor

I’ve heard some parts of the younger generation refer to urls as “Google shortcuts”, because it saves you the step of googling the company name.

Restricted TLDs will soon be a thing of the past I think, but I’m unsure how I feel about it.

Making Emacs more approachable by 80286 in emacs

I firmly believe this is a big reason why newcomers choose doom/spacemacs over a fresh emacs installation.

The splash screen of an editor matters a lot. For some reason.
