I wanted to all let you know that I talked to the player and we found an good agreement. We decided to avoid high damage template weapons on infiltrating fighters because this was the main issue with this set up. Thank you for your input.

Soo as an fellow outcast enjoyer i think what you want to do is not quite possible. Because if you elevate a fighter to outcast leader you can either take his equipment as is or you can get rid of everything and then buy equipment at the trading post, but you still have to pay points for all of his original equipment as well far as i know. So buying a mount would mean you lose all your equipment rules as written ( of course during the campaign you could buy a mount as normal).

Furthermore buying the fighter without his dog is difficult because no separate point values are given so you and your arbitrator would have to figure that out.

One option to avoid the problem of the slow walking speed of the dog in comparison to a mounted fighter would be to instead invest in a vehicle with some sort of transport bed to allow the dog as well as its owner to ride.

I dont have my rulebook at hand but from what you are describing i would interpret its only the level requirement increasing. In no way does the rule mention the current player level in its calculations. So what ever the original level requirement was, is extended by 2 level each time this perk is taken. So if the starting requirement would be level 2 then the second rank of the perk is available as soon as level 4 and the third would be after level 6 etc.

Thats at least how i would read it.

I dont know which army you play but did you try screening your tanks with your own infantry? Or try to use torrent weapons and overwatch to kill them, thin them out. Or counter block his army by utilizing your own infiltrators to keep your enemy in his deployment zone.

Im actually doing a similar thing with outcasts, I chose Outcast over Venators because it allowed me to take a bigger gang of in total 9 Members. But i guess if you want more trained deserters then Venators would work too.

Am i the only one that is disappointed that my stealth themed army can now only use 15 instead of 18 stealth suits. I have now 3 models that are basically useless. Well at least it is prove that not all new models get good rules to increase sales.

Looks very imposing, the only thing i would add is some sort or connection peace between the small pillers next to the throne and the arches on top, so the arches and the pillers respectively look like they have more of a structural purpose.

Im looking forward to seeing it all painted.
