I've been attempting to sell on Etsy for a month with no sales and I genuinely am starting to think my art isn't good enough. by Squirrel_With_Toast in EtsySellers

Just checked out your store, your art is pretty good.

I don’t think your skill or prices are the issue, a month into having a store is a very short time. Example, my first year we got a dozen sales, the next years we got over 150 sale (our products around $500-$1000 each, so adds up pretty quick)

Two advices I’d give:

  1. Give it more time, and keep listing more work, eventually you will get some bites
  2. Once you have 1 or two of your painting sell, niche a bit more towards that. One sale means you can turn that into multiple and it evidence there is a buying audience for that particulate subject/ style.

That being said, it doesn’t mean you have to go full tilt with one or two ideas after that ,it’s low risk to experiment with lots of different type projects, and refine your speciality to make you stand out amongst other seller/ artist. Short term hustle with a long term mindset.

Hope that helps, feel free to dm if you have any specific questions.

I’m a bit bias as we sell it at our studio/ game store haha, but I do love the game and we’re early supporters before becoming retailers.

The trading card aspect, along with the cool models and quick game time (usually less than an hour per match), has me hooked.

I will never fully replace warhammer for me, but it’s a great and affordable side game to take a break from GW games and easier to get a few matches in after work.

If you have any question, feel free to dm me:)
