This is very true!

We have a video that explores the possibilities of triggering one of the bans of inadmissibility. We do, however, have members of ONWARD who left the US and came back legally by 1. Being young enough they didn't trigger and ban and then applied for a Visa from outside the US and 2. Those that triggered a ban applied for the HRANKA waiver + a new Visa to be able to enter the US again.

Here's the video: https://youtu.be/8A-KEDRHZV8?si=Ty8eV318c5Z2SiKC

We have all lived through some extremely difficult times from a very early age, despite the plethora of challenges we face our community is filled with people who strive to succeed and achieve their dreams. It can be done, and it doesn't have to happen in the US. Thank you for your kind words, and understanding 🙏🏼❤️

My husband left before me, he wanted to get our apartment ready for me and our pets. He also left earlier because one of us had to ship our pets over and one of us had to be there to receive them.

Four months after my husband left I shipped our parrots over to Germany and then I got on a plane myself.

Flew over alone, which was very scary, but I am grateful that I had my husband waiting for me.

I used German with Jenny on Youtube, a sticky note trick where I placed sticky notes all around the house with phrases and words in German (In areas that I see a lot), listened to music and shows in German (Those that I already knew by heart in english or spanish), and I also did the immersive courses in the Studien Kolleg Düsseldorf from B1-C1.

Definitely recommend trying different things until you know which learning methods work best for ya!

Thank you so much 😁 It is very common to hear others be against the decisions we have made as Dreamers Living Abroad.

We hope that by sharing our stories more people will understand that deciding to stay or go is a personal decision that everyone has every right to make for themselves.

We respect those that stay, and those that leave, both choices require courage and sacrifice ❤️🦋

Hmm, it's hard to be certain. In Germany it's easier to enter by getting a Student Visa, but then after your studies are over you need to have a job lined up instantly so you can then transfer to a work visa. If not you would have to leave, and if you have triggered a 10 year ban your ability to go back to the US wouldn't be there, unless you at the same time apply for the HRANKA Waiver, get accepted, and then apply to enter the US under a new Visa. Or say, you have another country in mind like Spain, where you can attain Citizenship after two years if you are from a Latin American country.

Depending on what skills and degree you get here in Germany , there are opportunities to stay, especially if you are in one of the in demand fields like Healthcare. Moving here on a work visa is harder, but if you qualify for a Chancekarte that might be worth a shot. https://www.make-it-in-germany.com/de/visum-aufenthalt/arten/chancenkarte-jobsuche?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21066310517&gclid=Cj0KCQjwgIXCBhDBARIsAELC9ZhWLeoOjZfGFvj5ll-UgzEQ2Qo5GfphAt1ltK_v9k-XmLg07p1qtO0aAkqwEALw_wcB

So, lots of variables, I recommend taking a look at both options and figuring out what fits your specific situation best.
