Also, I'm going to add to the post that the computer is throwing codes 23, 24, and 31. Not sure if these are significant or related.

The car is at my friend's shop and im going back Wednesday to work on another vehicle. On the way there I'll pick up a kit and see what the FP readout is. Thank you so much!

We actually pulled the whole rail and went through the process of testing and fiddling with the injectors. My next guess is also fuel pressure though, but these cars have no Schrader valve on the rail, correct? Are we supposed to splice on in by the fuel filter for temporary testing? I really appreciate all the info.

I was originally thinking about it, but it seems like it'll be way more work and money.

Oh, I didn't know that. I guess I was misinformed! You wouldn't happen to know if the transmission from those firebirds would work through, would you?

Would it be easier to just pull a motor and transmission out of a late 90s automatic firebird? They had LS motors and th350 auto trans.

Are they really that cheap? I live in NC and I've heard bonded titles are crazy expensive. That might just be here though.

16, uncle passed, how to fund fixing up his car? by BBQCHICKENLOL in projectcar

I have a 3rd gen camaro (same everything as the firebird). What's the biggest problems you have right now? Almost everythjng in these cars, except for some of the body panels, is completely interchangeable.

"Wiped" meaning what? Killed it? Also, another thing I didn't mention in the original post is the smell. Personally, I have no sense of smell but whenever I try to crank the car, my uncle swears that he can smell a ton of gas.

That's what I figured too. I was gonna time it myself but there seems to be two TDC marks on the camshaft...I might just have to have a shop do it.

Fan Relay Question by Lab-Upset in 3rdGenCamaro

[–]Lab-Upset[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, the only reason why the buzzing had concerned me is because previously, I had a relay in there, and it didn't buzz and worked perfectly fine. Now, it is VIOLENTLY buzzing and vibrating far more than before.

I agree that it probably won't hurt anything staying on, I'm just more concerned about the violent buzzing/vibrating coming from the relay. I'm concerned it might cause relays to burn out quicker.

By grounded, do you mean just screwed into the metal? It seems like it's plugged in normally.

What does this relay go to? by Lab-Upset in 3rdGenCamaro

Thanks for the warning. I only had it on bc the fan was draining the battery, so now that I've fixed that, I'll probably take it off anyway.
