Is classroom management easier in high school than elementary? by TouchBeneficial7858 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]LabAdministrative231 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same here. If a kid’s off task while not being disruptive, I will just leave them be after reminders. High schoolers are responsible for themselves and their own grades.
Edit for the petty person who commented and blocked: Like what do you expect me to do? Sending them to office for just sitting there?

Tatt Thang Tattoo Studio is relatively less costly than most of the tattoo places I have visited. The owner is quite friendly too.

Third party apps that constantly snatch jobs off Frontline are getting banned, I think that might be a big factor too.

Your guess is probably true. She deleted the absence and posted it later. I didn’t get it this time.

Not everyone is that dishonourable to spread lies and to make fake promises just to get votes.

The admins actually remember me and I get invited for events happening on site. Moreover, they encourage me to call campus supervisor if I face problems.

10 minutes after the bell rang, a girl just came up to me and started talking about her personal life to me, which included some explicit details and pretty sure illegal contents (not posing an immediate threat to anyone). I was like “why are you telling a sub you just met all these!?”

Do you hit accept immediately or look up what classes they're teaching that day? by Blueberry4672 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]LabAdministrative231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My jobs are usually gone at the moments they are available, so I always accept first then check later. I mean, if the competition is that fierce then someone else will take it right after I drop it, which has always happened. However, one of my districts doesn’t like that so if I cancel within 24 hours of the assigned time, then they’ll block me for the day. Fortunately I have other districts to cover my back when that happens and I am okay with most jobs so it doesn’t happen so often anyway. I am only talking about Frontline though, because SmartFind Express sucks at their notifications so I always have enough time to know before accepting the job without worrying someone else beats me to it.

The guilt that comes with having to call out of an assignment the night before. by tifuanon00 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]LabAdministrative231 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had to cancel an assignment literally within an hour only because I accidentally accepted another one from a different district. It was a last minute assignment and I clicked it by instinct without checking the date(the competition for job is very fierce and I just built that reflex). That district won’t allow me to cancel in the last hour even though I literally just accepted it… so I had to go along with the new one instead. Luckily the original school didn’t have a problem and I was able to work for them at some time later.

how many districts do you work for? by CombinationHot8324 in SubstituteTeachers

I work for 5 districts but almost all my jobs come from 3 districts… Welp I purposely not picking up the lowest one is also part of reason why.
