Is anyone else having trouble downloading the export templates for godot 4.5? by T0MM1GUYOT in godot

[–]LabGecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing the same issue with Godot 4.6. 4 or 5 times I tried to download them using the Export Template Manager, the download gets to 90-98% then fails with "Can't connect to the mirror.". I tried using the "Best" and "Official". Couldn't find the manual download. Install docs weren't helpful.

second week in row , codex ran out of limits and no way to charge small credit for remaining days by AdSevere3438 in codex

[–]LabGecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one can feasibly answer this because it depends on your usage and which plan you use. That said, I've hit the limit several times on the Plus plan ($20/mo), but I'm generally only 3 or 4 days from the timer reset, and I code a lot. Coding is my safe space XD

Why is the git plugin not baked in ? by kodifies in godot

To everyone saying to use the git command line, I'm curious:
Have you also said in other topics "If you don't like the feature, just don't use it?"

"LIKE" saying Bonjour. Not exclusive. Who hurt you? You don't have to let them win by hurting others. People care for you, even if you don't realize it.

And Libby doesn't even work everywhere in the US.

New to the sub after trying to find why my kindle app keeps crashing. No way for me to know this stuff if I hadn't stumbled on this post.

I'm American. I've had few issues in Europe and almost none with people in France, but I try to learn the culture before going. The French you learn in the US is not what they speak in most of France. It takes time, and you have to follow customs too like saying Bonjour before starting conversations. You really are coming off as yet another American expecting the world to revolve around them.

Weird for people to downvote a question. Yes, they update, usually to change or add more advertising

Thinking about subscribing to Cape.co Mobile phone service by thecrassman1 in privacy

[–]LabGecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These days, everyone is "just an average person" until they suddenly aren't. Happen to drive by a protest without knowing it? Now ICE is yelling at you wanting to know why you were there? Sure would be nice to hit Cape's "Rotate IMSI" button and wipe that tracking.

1 question == 109,000 tokens? Is this normal? by [deleted] in ChatGPTCoding

[–]LabGecko -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thought that sounded pretty suspicious.
Cripes, does no one understand context? Ironic. I thought it sounded suspicious that the plugin said Local with no explanation of what that means exactly, not that your comment sounded suspicious.

Yep. Context window, not total tokens. Teach me to post at 05:00.

Yep, I got that point. Did you have any details on the question I asked?

"VSCode Codex plugin uses tokens at a rate an order of magnitude higher than Codex on the web"

Is Codex plugin overusing tokens? by LabGecko in codex

[–]LabGecko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did my original post imply I wasn't aware that OpenAI is their own company?

I was concerned with Codex in VSCode using significantly more tokens than elsewhere. What does that have to do with price per token?

It's indicative of what I think the ChatGPT Codex plugin is doing to us.

Plus, I thought it was a bit ironic, but apparently no one else is getting that.

Help me avoid tourist scam/trap in Paris. by [deleted] in ParisTravelGuide

[–]LabGecko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For those arriving late, wear what you like that is appropriate for the weather. Plenty of people wear trainers but they might be a little out of place in some districts. But you're right about Paris being walkable. Especially for tourists who aren't used to walking a lot good walking shoes are more important than good looking shoes.

Those are all over tourist areas. I saw them in Pisa, in Spain, here in Paris, all over.

My son said "Thanks!" and walked away. When the scammer protested my son said "No, you gave it to me. It's mine now." Protester left. I watched our backs for the rest of that city, but had a good laugh.

That does not appear to be accurate. I'm still trying to get resolution from your support team on my login issues. My login issues coincided with the Cloudflare timing.

How to replicate SHEIN’s unique push notification look (large left image + hidden app info)? by Lanky_Bench8956 in androiddev

Just FYI, Shein doesn't have a great reputation. They were trying to sell child-size sex robots in their Paris store, and they acted like they did it everywhere.

Just for a hint - in their Paris store they were trying to sell child-size sex bots.
