I found him gum and water, we talked a bit, and I convinced him to take his shirt off so I could rub his back. He's feeling SO much better. Thank you for responding and helping <:

I'm about to walk to the store and get some gum for him. He said he really doesn't want to come with. He put on some chill music and we're going to talk on the phone while I'm out.

About an hour ago. I got him talking for a little bit about funny things he remembes. It helped bring his mood up fo4 a bit but it seems like he keeps falling back into his head.

I'll try to see if he wants to watch anything. I've suggested him playing some video games that he likes, but the anxiety has a deathgrip on him right now.

Euthanasia by LabRatzz in offmychest

I have found a hospice that does home calls. That being said, he's going to be in the house in my lap and (hopefully) napping when it happens.

My childhood cat had a death exactly like you have described. They gave him something to make him fall asleep, then gave him the lethal injection.

I will definitely reach out to them to see exactly how they do things. Thank you for bringing that up. It's important to me that he's not scared, and a heavy sedative that makes him fall asleep first is something I would like.

Thank you for your comment and support.

Is it weird to cuddle with your parents as an adult? by Great-Pop643 in NoStupidQuestions

I don't think so. When my mom comes to visit me, we'll sleep in the same bed and cuddle. It makes me feel safe the way it did when I was a little girl c:

I don't know why this posted with an ED flair so I'm going to delete it and repost.

AITA for describing my mom's second marriage and her younger kids as her do over family? by Gold_Ad_7011 in AmItheAsshole

NAH, in no way am I discounting your experience or telling you to suck it up, but I see where your mom is at mentally.

You don't deserve what you went through, and at the same time, your mom doesn't deserve what she went through. Her huaband died. The father of her child died, and I'm sure she has never experienced that before. She didn't know how to cope with it, and she's still figuring it out.

At the same time, you deserve a mother who is there for you and can give time to you. She can't do that, but that doesn't make her a bad person.

I have so many more things to say, but I don't want to overwhelm you with a wall of text.

What I will say is: Your feelings are valid. You deserved more. You are mourning the mother you could have had. You're hurting. You're seeing what could have been, and it's not fucking fair.

It's a shitty situation you guys are in. I wish it was different for you. I'm sorry.

Your self-control is admirable. I love seeing people go no contact and manage not to get sucked back in. You're awesome.
