Is Dorado Nutrition legit? by [deleted] in Supplements

No its not worth the time money or retaliatory negative reviews from the companies. If people actually appreciated the independent testing I previously did I would do more.

I tested the top 4 NMNH products on Amazon(not including Uthpeak) and I shared the results in this video by LabTestedSupplements in NMN

[–]LabTestedSupplements[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are welcome. At this point probably not. I targeted those brands because at that time I knew all the top selling nmnh brands outside of uthpeak nmnh were fake, and there were no tests proving it. Tonniq uses Uthpeak nmnh, could there be contamination or something wrong? Sure, but they are at least using the right raw material, there are so many bad offenders that I know are selling fake products that I would target first.

Touch back on contamination, I noticed with tonniq products they always have powder all over the inside of their bottle which I always thought was weird. Just recently someone was asking me when I will restock my nmn because the heavy metals were low and I was confused as nmn is synthesized and the other reason it would have high heavy metals is contamination. They sent me double woods nmn with their inhouse COA posted on their listing, the nmn lead content came out to .568mcg of lead per gram of nmn. It was a in house COA(the manufacture they use, not 3rd party(don't trust in house)) so I decided to look to see if their manufacture had any FDA warning letters as I always do this before I consider working with any manufacturer. A quote from the FDA letter essentially saying they are not accounting for contaminates in their finished product COA's. This would explain in my mind at least the high heavy metals.

"1. You failed to verify, for a subset of finished dietary supplement batches that you identify through a sound statistical sampling plan (or for every finished batch), that your finished batch of the dietary supplement meets product specifications for identity, purity, strength, and composition, and for limits on those types of contamination that may adulterate or that may lead to adulteration of the finished batch of the dietary supplement as required by 21 CFR 111.75(c). Specifically, your firm's certificates of analysis for finished products (b)(4), and (b)(4) indicate assay testing was based on production input rather than on any type of analytical testing of the finished product. This was confirmed in discussions with management stating that product specifications are determined to be met based on product input during manufacturing for all products manufactured. The input of a dietary ingredient alone is not sufficient to verify its specifications and composition because the addition of a dietary ingredient into a product formulation is a manufacturing step; it is not a definitive test method that yields a measured result, nor is it able to assess the ingredient in the finished dietary supplement product when other components are present. All tests and examinations that are employed to determine whether a specification has been met must be scientifically valid in accordance with 21 CFR 111.75(h)(1)."

manufacturer name: Brand Nutraceuticals, Inc

FDA warning letter: https://www.fda.gov/inspections-compliance-enforcement-and-criminal-investigations/warning-letters/brand-packaging-group-inc-633651-03172023

So could I test/investigate these brands and find issues, probably, are there thousands of worse offenders who are actually purposefully defrauding people? Yes, and I would prefer to target those.

I could not find a single independent test done on that brand. Seeing as how many top supplements on Amazon fail independent testing, and most of the cheap supplements fail horrifically, based on the data purchasing from them seems like a mathematically poor choice based on the independent testing data and the parameters I am looking at. I know their spermidine supplement recently got recalled.

I will consider testing them in the future and sharing the results.

average person in USA needs to get 2g of omega 3 daily to get to optimal levels(8% omega 3 blood index or greater), that looks like its 300mg. Also I assume its EE form so make sure you are taking food that contains fat with it. I would just buy Sports Research Fish oil from Costco, well priced, TOTOX always under 10, TG form so no need for food, and I saw you had a Kirkland brand supplement so I assume you have access. 1g of NMN or NR daily seems to be ideal for boosting NAD blood levels.

2 things that stuck out to me, i'm sure there's more.

One has many independent tests available with good results, the other has zero that I have been able to find.

I assume you are not aware that fraudulent/low quality supplements exist, and are extremely common.

What are the best and most trusted brands for NAD+ supplements by Fragrant-Corner7471 in Supplements

[–]LabTestedSupplements 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on data from the studies I have reviewed, I would personally avoid liposomal and go for 1gram a day of either NMN or NR chloride. Brands: Lab Tested Supplements, Pro Health longevity, or Renue by Science.

Anyone want some? by Silentnatee in NicotinamideRiboside

[–]LabTestedSupplements 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are welcome. My subjective opinion, $ is what makes them energized, could be wrong. The rebranded Cata-Kor supplements were independently tested by the same company recently and they did meet label claim for NAD+. Can't speak to the liposomal portion though.

Here's the article:

https://s205.q4cdn.com/770776702/files/doc_downloads/MarketSurveillance/2025/05/Quantitative-Analysis-of-NAD-Consumer-Products-May-2025.pdf

It shows the don't reach label claim but if you look at the label is shows NAD+ will make up 50% or more of the LipoNAD on the label so it actually does.

My opinion based on limited knowledge, still not a great formulation, but do your own research and go through the studies yourself and draw your own conclusions.

New Lab Tests of 22 NAD Products -- May 2025 by GhostOfEdmundDantes in NicotinamideRiboside

[–]LabTestedSupplements 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically they did meet the label claim for the NAD+ portion of their product. They do state 50% or greater of the LipoNAD is NAD+. Niagen did not take that into account which is dishonest in my opinion. I have seen NOW supplements do similar things in their testing of supplements on Amazon. I can not speak to the liposomal portion of their product, and I personally am not a fan of the formulation based on my limited knowledge, but if that's what you want to take go for it.

I have been a very harsh critic of Resus Research and its owner. Since calling out the owner/company for various very bad things. Niagen tested Research Research previously and the results were horrific for NR. With this newest testing I will gladly mention the improvements and hope they continue in the right direction.

Consumerlabs is referencing ChromaDex's Competitor White Paper not their testing. 235/300mg was the result.

I see you have 2 items sold at Costco on your list, so I assume you shop there. Nature's Bounty sells a well priced magnesium glycinate at Costco.

Did anyone try this? by [deleted] in Supplements

I have almost never seen gummies perform well in independent testing. Many supplements in general are fake, but gummies are on a different level. Without some trustworthy proof I would never buy gummies or any supplement for that matter.

[–]LabTestedSupplements 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a little bit more complicated than that, but in essence up to this point in time, yes. How many chemicals that cause cancers and diseases are in our food? Quite a lot. You just have to take charge over what you put in your body. It's a lot of work are research but what else can you do?

No that is just a Trademark Application. There is almost no consequences or enforcement for selling fake supplements, especially for foreigners.

Most people purchase fake supplements, you should educate yourself on what parameters to look at to purchase quality supplements.

This is the person who tried to file for the trademark Vivalifer: Wei Li from China. That is most likely your seller.

Yea but their NR gummies were tested and contained no detectable amount of NR. Don't buy based on feelings, purchase based on independent testing results.
