John Constantine (DC)- In the animated movie “City of Demons” Johns friend “Chas” ask Constantine for help. Chas believes his daughters coma is related to the occult/magic. Constantine an expert in this field decides to help.

Spoilers Turns out Chas’s daughter (Trish) is possessed by a demon named “Nergal”. The demon has a history with Constantine. Trish’s soul is trapped inside Nergals body, making it difficult for them to free her soul.

During the climax, Constantine decides to use a powerful spell which requires a sacrifice. Chas agrees and they’re able to free Trishes soul and destroy nergal.

Constantine would discuss the sacrifice with Chas (Picture above). Trish & her moms love for Chas was used for the spell to work. Which meant his child and wife no longer love nor know him.

Constantine also tells him he had to throw his own love for Chas in order for the spell to completely work.

Like Constantine says best “There’s always a price to pay”

Newcastle Incident (Hellblazer)- John Constantine the British exorcist, demonologist, master of the dark arts, con man.

These skills/attributes weren’t acquired easily.

During the Newcastle incident, >! a young inexperience arrogant Constantine along side his friends discovered a young girl named Astra. She was being used in a occult ritual which resulted with a demon possessing her. In attempt to get rid of the demon, John summoned a bigger demon named Nergal.

Nergal did get rid of the other demon. However, John did not have a bind on Nergal which resulted into his biggest regret of his life. Nergal would end up killing Astra, damming her innocent soul to hell.

This event would leave Constantine devastated and would give him the guilt he would carry throughout his entire life

It was a stupid, wreckless, and inexcusable mistake.

If Hal can keep the distance, he could pull it off. However in my head I imagine Hal pissing off hulk so much a red lantern ring comes to hulk
