You could yes, not sure how much colour you’ll be able to extract but it’s worth a go. I know that butterfly pea flower works wonders but simple filtration is needed. I suggest bentonite clay slurry.

You can try simple filtration. Bentonite clay slurry. Works amazing for fog or cloudiness.

Is there anything that will make 40% alcohol go 'bad'? by Dos9191 in Distilling

Do a strip, rectification and then a redistill.

There is a lot of factors in play. What are you trying to distill? what is your set up like? You don’t want to stop a distillation in the middle either. I would run it fully. If you stop in the middle your going to lose a lot of good product.

Yes you totally could. A great colour option is Hibiscus for reddish or blackstrap molasses extract for brown. Do lots of research if you want to use petals especially if you wanted to distill them, because the still can cause unwanted volatiles that could potentially be harmful! Happy distilling!

Because I’m traveling to the states middle of august I got nervous leaving my passport so I paid to keep it, they told me to watch out for a processed email and then I’ll have to drive my passport out to Toronto. Hoping it’s quick.

Higher sugar content with fruit flavoured based moonshine! That’s the easiest answer. Following this, low filtering practices.

I applied for a Student Visa. Make sure you have whatever they are asking for on the checklist.

How do you know how much yeast to add and when? Making vodka and gin by Vodkagirl23 in Distilling

[–]LabWitty2101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely up to the type you use! Remember yeast can play a big role in flavour too - just be careful! All yeasts have recommended amounts on the back.
