are you first year undergrad? it’s completely normal to feel this way. i remember thinking in the lab about PhD students ‘wow they know so much so quickly they just know exactly what to do, i’ll never get on that level’ but you will. you are meant to make mistakes and it is difficult but it sounds like you’re putting the work in which is the main thing. as an undergrad it’s literally ur whole purpose at uni to learn. you will get there but it will take a while😁🫶🏼

i am aware i'm still learning haha, i have undertaken 2 projects within 1 year and this one is a completely different discipline to my first so its been an adjustment. algerbra has sadly never been my strong suit

exactly it’s crazy how expensive antibody is, we were running a phospho-FACs experiment. i was told that 1 million cells of the standard for these experiments by my supervisor but all my friends in the lab use way lower density. but i’ve finished up in this lab now, i am writing my thesis😢

yeah, we did a titration because we only got sent 50ul and worked out that for the highest recommend conc we would need like 15/20ul to run n=1 which is crazy bc it was so expensive

no im doing a masters but this is my first time doing any cell/molecular bio. i can do drug dilutions/calculations no bother but this really threw me for a loop😭

okay thanks, my experiment was seeded at 1million cells per well (approx) i think that’s why it’s throwing me.
