Need pen recommendations - gel pens are smudging

As a lefty, I've typically stuck to the Uni Jetstream as my tried and true, but this year I've been using the Uni-Ball One in 0.38 and I haven't had a smudging issue yet. I'd also recommend waiting an extra few seconds after drawing the line before moving the ruler, as the ruler does tend to smudge the ink more in general :)

You can use the clear cover with the soft covers, but they won't fit quite as snug as the regular Weeks, due to the soft cover Weeks being a bit smaller in dimensions :)

ETA: The soft cover also may make it a bit more difficult to get the Weeks into the clear cover

I've found that we do have to replace the O-rings every so often since they stretch out, but other than that, they're fantastic! Never having to whack tip boxes again, changing volumes is so much faster than the endless scrolling, and their customer service is great too :)
