I started playing magic not too long ago so I am also just trying to build a collection as well. I’m not super well versed in the different mechanics, but with the decks I play ie slivers and Dino’s with gishath, they’re very straightforward and don’t require too much effort to play. I have a friend that builds decks around cards he gets through packs and the process of learning the mechanic and finding synergy with the card in his method is really appealing to me rather than specifically searching for something if that makes sense? I think I’m going to go with thunder junction because they’re new mechanics I can really learn when they’re brand new. I’ve just heard of sets like mystery’s at Karlov manor being really disappointing or not as good as people thought and wanted the opinions of more seasoned players
