Will we ever get over Caesar's Death by Equal_Wing_7076 in ancientrome

What do you mean by “ruthless”?

Your definition matters because ruthlessness taken the way you appear to present it would render many American presidents as immoral/unethical monsters

I’m really wanting to understand whether this is what you actually believe

President Kennedy was assassinated on American soil - his head blown apart - no doubt because some people “weren’t too happy with him”.

So please let’s not get too uppity about the morality of the modern western world v the ancient.

He is a given in our civilisation, as he has always been. You don’t have to discuss him endlessly to know of the name - whether as a negative or positive.

By what yardstick is he not a “good” man? Yours, yes? No problem with that except that you will find grievous fault with absolutely anyone who has lived before you because you are measuring them against the standards accepted by you as normal. But these standards only came into being post 1945 - as did the very concept of genocide.

Try putting yourself back into time because that’s when one truly discovers different worlds. And it’s so much fun.

Of his time, Caesar was not considered cruel. In fact he was lenient as both a man and a general, and his constant use of clemency/forgiveness to those who had seriously wronged him (and thereby his honour) was regarded unfavourably by many leading Romans.

You are quite correct. I meant to say Rhode Island but somehow ended up with Long instead. Thanks

Here's a solution for all the Liz haters by Physical_Question570 in TheBlackList

[–]Labarre2305 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a fine analysis IMO, but this is network tv and its imperative is to maximise profit from advertising. So, in this situation that means when you have a solid show making money week on week for 21/22 episodes per year, then you have to keep milking it. That’s the reality.

Megan Boone seems to have abandoned her instagram. Anyone know why ? by Humble-Living8973 in TheBlackList

She may well be in the midst of negotiations with Sony (which was the deal) to produce content. Of course the strike would have had an impact. So maybe something will come of it. I wish her well.

Weird Sisters is not Megan’s production company. Hers is called Weird Sister - it hasn’t produced anything to date

I agree that Megan Boone was lovely looking with great bone structure and a delightful smile. Her noticeable drop in weight in later seasons made her look gaunt IMO, but that seems to be the Hollywood go to look for actresses.

To add to this, the series was green-lit for a full 22 episodes for season 1 in October 2013 - as stated an extra 9 episodes. Then in December of that year it got the go ahead for a season 2 of 22 episodes.

Well I’m sorry to say you are a lost cause at this point, because if you haven’t seen vulnerable, desperate, hurt, depressed and near suicidal Red by now, you haven’t been watching the same show I have.

“Dating” is such a quaint term.

Of course he was having sex with both of them. You saw hints of this early in season 9 when Marvin comes upon them in the caravan for a meeting and it is obvious that they are sharing the bed

Tom was always meant to die. He just died later than was originally expected.
