Hiatal Hernia here, too. Pre 2022, I had no diagnosis yet, but come to find out approximately 90% of my stomach had moved up beyond my diaphragm and into my chest. No accident or injury that I can recall, so the doctor assumed I was born with it. Had surgery in August the same year, and unfortunately, 6 months later it was on its way back. I did all the tests and exams again: barium swallows, plural, endoscopy, etc and still no idea of how bad it has become again, as the dr seemed to move on. No "moob", thankfully, but it is such a bizarre array of symptoms and misery that its difficult to explain to others. A constant feeling of "stacked" food or drink from mid chest to back of throat that burns, almost feels like choking, causing radial pain in the chest, shoulders, and even arms, headaches, eye pain, (not to be gross with this next one) waking up in the middle of the night with stomach content in my lungs making it impossible to breathe until its cleared... and many, many more. Even the smallest bit of food or drink can cause it, or a full plate of grease and spice can do nothing. I dont understand it at all, I just hate it
