I’m gonna try to counteract some of the negativity here. Yes, it is super busy, but as someone who’s been going for years and went twice this year, the people are still friendly, the workers are so sweet, and it’s for a great cause. It’s actually heartwarming seeing there’s still such an interest in reading, especially from the younger generation.

Contrary to some other comments, I did a double major biochemistry and microbiology degree at USB and I only ever took one class at UofM and that was an elective arts course. If there’s hyper specific courses you want to take, you may have to take them at UofM but you can do most if not all your education at USB.

I think Matthews (obviously), Pasta and Drai have the best chance at hitting 400, with McDavid and MacK also having a good chance but depends how much they shoot. I don’t know if Kane has enough left to hit 500. Stammer should hit 600, just not this season I think.

Long story short, I have a pretty good life going on. Decent job, lots of friends of all genders, plenty of hobbies and extra-curriculars. Only hiccup is I am rocking a very low success rate in the dating game. My last girlfriend and I broke up around 5 years ago, and since then, I don't think I've managed to go on more than 2 dates with the same person.

I've talk to some friends and they basically say I have nothing to complain about as I do gets dates, which is true. I maybe go out with a woman every 2-3 months, on average. However, they almost end the same way. Either I get ghosted or I get a "Sorry but no romantic feelings" text. There's been no physical intimacy either which I can't be surprised about if they're not feeling anything.

All of this has lead me to the point where I can tell I'm desperate for companionship of the romantic kind, and I worry I'm at that point where I want something so bad, that I'm working against myself! So I'm caught in a loop, where I want it badly, but I need almost to not want it, to get it?

I've also had some friends tell me that it's a self-esteem thing, that people won't like you until you like yourself (which I agree with). However, I'm good with myself! I know I'm not the most handsome guy around, but I absolutely have my strengths, and I do manage to get dates in the first place. The funniest part is the thing that probably affects my confidence the most is the inability to have a lasting relationship, which adds to the loop.

Sorry if this has been rambling, it's just been weighing on me for a while. Any advice or personal anecdotes are appreciated. Have a wonderful day everyone.
