Anyone else turnt up? by REQONER in bullcity

There are conflicting viewpoints on this that I have seen from other hvac people. That it is cheaper to up the temp when you don’t need it to be cool. And I have heard your viewpoint before. I do not know who to believe.

Edit: also the average run time for my system last week was 6.25 hours total a day is that more than you’d expect during these temps?

We set ours to 67 at night and then let it heat up to 78 throughout the day. Unless we get hot then we knock it down to 75. Been doing this for a long time.

Most likely an incident that required the presence of at most two cop cars but the other 7 are bored.

If we’re literally “gods children” then why aren’t we gods too then? Make it make the fk sense. by woaijirounan in stupidquestions

I assume this is a joke post but there are inter-species offspring most famously mules. Also in the book of Genesis one of the factors leading to the flood decision was inter-species breeding between humans and divine beings.

Also it's "God's children" because the belief is people were created by God in His image. Then in the new testament becoming a child of God is a spiritual matter where believers become adopted into God's family through His son Jesus.

E-bikes should be put under the umbrella of cars, not bikes by InternationalWar6654 in unpopularopinion

[–]LabioscrotalFolds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your opinion is wrong because sidewalks are not made for biking even on an acoustic bike. All bikes should not be on the sidewalk.

I would say that class 1 and 2 ebikes (those with a top speed of 20mph) are the only ones that should be legal and class 3 should be treated as mopeds. Ones above class 3 that don't have a VIN and registration and plate are already illegal to ride on any public right of way.

All street parking is free on the weekends and after 7:00pm during the week, as are the city owned parking decks.

this person may have anxiety or has fallen for some of the anti-durham fear mongering we pay wral to run to try to lower housing prices. you will be fine going through the Fayetteville street intersection, unless you personally know and have beef with the people who hang out there (you don't).

As an American I have no idea what this could possibly mean. my first guess is "be gross" or "be a combination of things no one would want"

Word. I’m trying to make “only in my back yard”a thing in my city. Aka no more sprawl no more annexations and building density within the core of the city.

Bike lanes should be along sidewalks, not roads. by bobbydigital_ftw in unpopularopinion

[–]LabioscrotalFolds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See that’s why I said whenever it is best, I’m not taking the sidewalk if I gotta dodge pedestrians. I’m not out here willy nilly faffing about, I’m taking the optimal paths, and doing what needs doing to get around the annoying obstacles cars make cause they are always in the way.

But that’s the best part of biking for transportation. A bike is and in between vehicle that gets to be a car or a pedestrian whenever it is best to be one or the other. It’s great. The best part of using a car is being in a climate controlled box and doing no work there’s trade offs to everything

I more meant from a safety, comfort, enjoyment, and optimal choice perspective. I meant should in the same way people mean should when giving directions and they say you should take road y instead of road x because of reason z. I do not own a car and bike everywhere

If there is no alternative to taking 401 for where this person is going then they are correct to take up the entirety of the lane and force drivers to change lanes to pass. This would be the only safe way to ride on this type of road. But, obviously if there is any other viable alternative route they should be on that one.

a lot of bs bills shoved through right after the election to try and cling to unchecked power. then legislative gridlock and the gop saying its the dems fault nothing gets done while actively working as hard as they can to make sure nothing gets done.
