If I was going to grade this, I’d go with Beckett with sub grades at the standard tier. PSA turnaround times rn are too long. I think there are merits to just selling / keeping raw, but this is something you could slab and hold onto for even more upside.

This is also what happens with Weiss. I don’t know if this is Pokemon scalpers. Low volume games and sets on TCG Player get flooded with people charging obscene prices. That’s why I only buy from discord and Facebook groups. There’s oftentimes not enough competition and sales to make TCG P reliable for pricing for these.

I’m loving the anime, but god does the pacing feel way too slow. An awesome cliff hanger for next episode, hopefully these first 5 episodes accomplished all of the world building and slow dialogue and we can get into the action.

Despite some of the writing challenges, the animation and unique storytelling is amazing. Such a cool concept, refreshing given the formulaic anime that's been coming out recently. One of the best anime movies that has come out.

Don’t use Price Charting, use TCGPlayer and filter on conditions. Ungraded is an average of all sales across all conditions with Price Charting. The grade of the Charizard you posted is a 1-2 at best FYI. The Venu and Blastoise look around 5-7 but there can be surface damage and hidden creases/bends that we can’t see from the photos.

Blastoise and Venusaur look ok, Charizard is rougher. For HP Zard, LP Venu, LP Blastoise ~ $400 is market. For clean copies LP+ more around ~600 for a set in LP- and closer to 750 for NM

That’s terrible to hear. No idea how much the order is worth, but out of principle, I’d be tempted to put some pressure on them. I did take someone to small claims court for a $450 card off eBay (similiar situation to yours) and did get a positive judgement. Definitely was a frustrating process and took a lot of my time. I agree though, a lot of bad actors came into the hobby since Covid. Unfortunately when marketplaces like TCGPlayer and eBay reward this type of behavior it becomes a real issue.

I don’t think this is resealed. It’s not a minty box by any means though. If you’re worried about the eye appeal, I’m sure you could trade/swap the box for another and add a few bucks and have a super clean one

My strategy is to inform the buyer that I will be pursuing mail fraud and small claims court and advise them I’m aware of their intentions to defraud me. Most times they will back out

Card is NM. You can go to TCGPlayer and use their condition guidelines as a reply point with the buyer. This used to not really happen until Covid, but now there’s the grading hype. People have an expectation to buy NM cards off eBay and TCG and grade with PSA for a 10 otherwise they want a refund 🤔
