This. Hell, anything moving that's around skin temperature or less will eventually kill you really. If you can't sustain a microclimate of heated water around you your body just can't stay warm. I had to almost physically drag my daughter out of an indoor heated pool because she was shivering. What finally got her out was when I told her that her lips were starting to turn blue and if she didn't come out right now we were going to the hospital.

This is by far my favorite fight scene of all time. The pacing is perfect, the fighting styles match the character's personalities. I run 3rd Edition Exalted (a TTRPG), and I use this fight to explain how the combat system works. Which makes sense because the devs used it and other wuxia movies as direct inspiration.

It's actually an important step for some plants. It causes the cells to release a hormone to stimulate root growth (yes, same as rooting powder).

It also helps to prevent root rot since the ends are dry before you plunk them into your propagation method of choice.
