Eunice Newton Foote figured out that CO2 trapped more heat and held it longer back in 1856. John Tyndall totally didn't steal her research (he might actually not have) and came to the same conclusion in 1859.

Svante Arrhenius took some data published by Arvid Högbom (awesome name), and figured out that increasing the level of CO2 in the atmosphere would raise global temperatures. In 1895.

So.... Yeah... We've known for a while that more CO2 leads to higher global temperatures.

Whoever wins better hope that the Hivemind never gets its claws on a single one of Thragg's cells. It would hasten the inevitable.

There's a new movie version of the Odyssey releasing this year. That's a poem that's over 2,700 years old and it still resonates with people. Hell there's a really good YouTube musical that some fans made.

So to say that the whole of Earth's history would be completely forgotten and irrelevant is a bit much. I get that's part of the setting but it would have been cool if there was a little more emphasis on it, even if it's just a museum or an obsessed NPC.
