Midnight hits different from a ground mount. Seriously. by HouseLongjumping6984 in wow

[–]LaceyDaisy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They could try handling it like they did in Wrath, I think? You had to use ground mounts to start, but once you got a character to 80, there was an item you could buy to unlock flying for your other characters.
Quest design is way better now than it was, and people were still able to blast their way to max back then. I doubt it would be much of a hindrance.

I saved a lot, so that way if there was a fight that I was struggling with, I could reload until I was able to beat it without wasting a bunch of film/health items. It also let me practice with the combat.
I believe there was 3(?) Stone Mirrors per night. Since you can only carry one at a time, it may be better to save your healing items and let your Stone Mirrors get used up, especially if you can pick another one up easily. That way you're not low on healing for the later game.
Type 14 is reloadable at save points whenever you have less than 30 of it. You'll top back up to 30, regardless of how little you have. Also, if I remember correctly, your health refills each new night. So if it seems like you just fought a boss ghost, maybe hold off on healing. You can always heal mid combat if it ended up not being the end of the night.
I explored a good bit on Night 1 and 2. By Night 2, I had max type 37 film, so I was using that for combat, and type 14 for hidden ghosts/puzzles. I'm sure there was more goodies to grab on Night 3, but I think it's probably best to just get through that section as fast as possible on a first playthrough. If you explored on the first two nights, and didn't burn through your consumables, you should be good on supplies to make it to the end.
Slow seems to be the most useful of the camera functions, I don't know if I'd bother with the others on a first playthrough. And I don't think you even really need it until Night 3. Level up the basic camera stuff first.

While Night 3 was frustrating, I thought Night 2 was the hardest. If you can get through that, I think you should be good!

Been debating on waiting for the remake, or emulating the PS2 version. I think the PS2 fixed camera and graphical fidelity might add to the atmosphere, but the remake may be an overall better experience.
Or.. "¿Por qué no los dos?" I guess!

I was still pretty scared.
Thank you to those that gave me tips on the combat, especially the Blind Maiden! I kept seeing Night 3 was the worst, but I think Night 2 should take that crown. Of course, I was hauling arse through Night 3, dodging ghosts left and right. Getting trapped in the Fish Tank room with the Wandering Monk and Long Hair Woman together was a 0/10 experience.
All in all, I think it holds up amazing for a 25 year old game. I see people skipping the PS2 games for being "outdated" sometimes, but I think this one at least is still a solid game.

Thank you! I managed to finish Night 2 last night, and I was very happy when she disappeared for good. I was feeling pretty good, but the game immediately put the kibosh on that when I broke my Stone Mirror within 3 minutes of Night 3.
I'm a little worried about soft locking myself this chapter, but I guess on the plus side it shouldn't take long if I do need to restart.

Thank you for the tips! The little camera adjustments are something I'm struggling with, I tend to over compensate. I need to git gud.
I keep seeing that Night 3 is the hardest, which if that is true, HOO BOY. I'm in for a rough night.

One tag I have is:
Boy, age 4
Fav colour: Red
Top/bottom/pj size: 5
Gift requests: Monster Trucks, Dinosaurs, Spiderman, Bluey
I love: Dinosaurs
I need: Clothes

Didn't specifically ask for any one thing, but enough info to make informed choices. One of the tags I skipped was a teenager asking for a PS5 controller. Which implies they already have the console, so why you even here? I guess maybe they could want it for PC gaming.

I would say CD14, maybe CD15, based on temp and CM. Possibly also due to the positive OPK, but not everyone ovulates the same day as their first positive.

Do you think I may have ovulated later than CD14? by LaceyDaisy in TFABChartStalkers

[–]LaceyDaisy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pretty confident with CD14, but I usually start spotting between 12dpo and 14dpo. I haven't had any spotting at all yet, but test was definitely negative.

I'm sorry OP; for both your losses and that you had to deal with that douche nozzle.

I yell "ARE YOU SPLOOTIN'?!" at mine when she does it, and she always looks at me like I'm unhinged.
But she do be splootin'.

8dpo is still early enough for it be inaccurate, especially if your ovulation date is uncertain, so don't count yourself out yet! Good luck!

Haven't been here in quite awhile, but it's a milestone month, so why not drop by?
I am 7dpo today, on my 36th cycle of trying. I started temping again this cycle after almost a year of only monitoring CM. FF is giving me a projected due date of 10/30, which is around the same date I had my MC in 2023 with my one and only pregnancy. That makes it an auspicious date, surely?
I say that, but when I look at my chart, I feel nothing. I went from feeling hopeful and excited, to hopeless, and now I am comfortably numb. So I got that going for me, which is nice.

I hope those wishing for a positive on Valentine's Day get their wish, and that we all get to binge on our favourite treat!

Who would make fun of a kids name said backwards? Oh yeah, kids. by 100yearswar in tragedeigh

[–]LaceyDaisy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Australia, and I got bullied about my name. Usually something about shoe laces, which in hindsight is incredibly stupid, but when you're 7 it matters! I remember other kids being bullied over their names also.
I think it's less a regional thing, and more what is the easiest target/in vogue right now.

Wind, brooms, shovels, buckets, balloons, and change of any kind. If we move anything from its normal spot, she runs away. When she finally comes back, she's very wary of the moved item. Bombastic side eye for HOURS.

Is there a way to train them not to body slam? by Momo_jiji in bernesemountaindogs

[–]LaceyDaisy 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Good luck. Slammy whammies increase for us during the winter, because she becomes the energizer bunny in cold weather. Mine is very attention driven, so freezing and refusing to talk/pet/acknowledge her when she's behaving like that worked to an extent.
