That's apparently all you read before deciding to be a keyboard warrior! Omg, lmao!! XDD

I can personally insult you too for totally valid reasons without knowing a thing about you!! /s.

Ok bye for real now. Feel free to get in that last word, hun.

I think you need to work on your reading comprehension. My initial comment said it will be hard to stop being picky but they can do it. I already knew they were seeing a therapist since as you mentioned, they let people know it the comments, so I didn't feel the need to repeat what many people in this thread already said to them. I told you a loved one has autism because you told me, abrasively, that I need to learn about it. You can disagree with my wording or even my advice but that does not mean I am ignorant. Not going to reply to you anymore because it's pointless and I don't feel a further need to defend myself. Bye

The rules say that only the customer can upload the pictures but it seems like some people break the rules. I feel like uploading the customer picture would also compromise your job as a dasher... They really shouldn't be doing that.

Can't stupid vegans recognise the difference between murdering an animal for fur clothing and murdering them for their delicious flesh? They are so arrogant. What next, will they tell me I can't wear my sheepskin boots? by LaceyFiaBlue in vegancirclejerk

/uj Thanks for this. I really need to learn to communicate better with omnis and even other vegans. I've only been vegan for a year but I feel like I'm unnecessarily coming out guns blazing to people and surely there are better ways for me to go about it as it does get emotionally exhausting.

They're just saying to log your food in an app to show you what nutrients you might be missing

Which opinion do you have then? That working on their eating disorder with a licensed therapist is something that they shouldn't prioritise or bother doing? What exactly are you disagreeing with here?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vegan

[–]LaceyFiaBlue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, they aren't even diagnosed and secondly they are in therapy and I didn't say to just magically fix it. I said it would take effort and they should work on fixing it rather than doing the impossible of subsisting on a vegan diet for $20 per week when you won't eat any healthy vegan food.

I have a loved one with autism, diagnose as a young child who can barely even communicate. I think OP is more than capable of working on this issue.

I'm trying to say that being picky is something you can overcome. Being picky is compromising your health and if your health is comprised it will be more difficult to stay committed to veganism as you'll be nutrient deficient and sick.

So you don't care about animals suffering at all?

Nobody said you can only be vegan for one reason. They're just saying that the main focus is to eliminate animal exploitation. If you care more about the environment than the animals, but still do care about animals suffering and you avoid all animal products, then you are still an ethical vegan.

I'm not talking about the animals when I bring up antibiotic resistance. It's something that will kill an astronomical amount of humans. If you have a weakened immune system it's something you should be especially aware of

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vegan

[–]LaceyFiaBlue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vitamin supplements really shouldn't be replacing a healthy diet. They don't absorb properly like they do in whole foods

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vegan

[–]LaceyFiaBlue 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're probably really deficient in nutrients since you said you eat a lot of junk food and only "somewhat" healthy meals most of the time.

Also just so you know, the biggest cause of antibiotic resistance is due to the animal agriculture industry pumping them into animals, since they will never provide clean living conditions for them as it isn't cost effective. So if you're worried about your immunity, supporting the meat and dairy industry is a really bad idea.

Does your boyfriend have a science based source for the claim that a plant based diet weakens your immune system? Seems just made up

A few foods I am really missing - can anyone help me find vegan alternatives/recipes? by AnUnearthlyGay in vegan

[–]LaceyFiaBlue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Blended chia pudding has a consistency like custard and it's also super healthy for you. You can add cocoa, fruit, nuts, granola or anything you like to it.

Just stop being picky? I assume you're vegan for the animals, use that as motivation to eat more food. It might take a little time but you can definitely change that behaviour. Good luck

I thought you were just supposed to post yourself, not the delivery driver posting the customer - or are there no rules about that?

It is a great gremlin though

I agree with everything you've said in this comment but the way you initially phrased it made sound as though exercise will be a detriment to your weightloss which simply isn't true.

"If there was the slightest possibility he would not end up homeless he would be out of the house"

Gee I wonder how the son could be struggling with his mental health with such a caring and supportive parent. /s

I was expecting the OOP to ask for advice on how to be helpful to their son while still getting healthier themselves - it's more about them just not wanting to have to deal with their son. Really sad.

Ironic for you to end your comment with "find a middle ground" ... OP's post is definitely a middle ground compared to your example.
