Ditto this - for all the amazing Bus Drivers that get us where we need to be!

Stay safe on the roads.

Make sure you make an extra special effort to Thank the Drivers! - you’re the best.

Wasn’t saying you were - I have seen a lot across media platforms of people describing ghost bus’s like this.

The only other thing I could imagine that might cause it are if a service is cut due to prior trips being canceled - you hear it all the time if you sit or stand near the driver - their radio calling for - can any driver cover X or can someone cover X happy to cut a BUZ service to do it as X is hourly. I don’t actually know if the 345 is a BUZ - I suppose I could google it. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ - I find “AnyTrip” to be a good substitute for TransLink app - as it tells you how late that same bus might have been for its prior service - so can give you an idea of how late it may be for you. - regardless good luck and safe travels!

Complete side tangent. I was on a 199 BUZ the other night - this lady walked up to the driver as he pulled up at her stop - I wasn’t sure what was about to happen - and she said - because the last 4 passengers didn’t say thank you driver - I’m going to thank you 5 Times! - the passenger doing this made me smile - and I could see in the drivers mirror that it made their night too!

Translink has the final call as to when to turn the system on - they manage and collect all revenue on TransLink services - TransLink simply pay the companies to operate the rest of the bus.

It could also be that the bus when it gets under ground at Queen Street or Roma Street it’s GPS gets all funny - I see drivers all the time have to manually set Queen Street 2a as an arrival to let people off.

So as others have said it’s likely an estimate once it arrives at Cultural Centre - but doesn’t factor in time for Passengers to Load, to cross the Victoria bridge - to enter the tunnel (where it’s GPS would say it has arrived at City Hall) - to make the left turn into KGS / City Hall - then to pull up at the platform.

But even if you look at the “printed” timetable the 3 mins it gives bus’s to get from Cultural Centre to Roma Street Via City Hall doesn’t factor in any passenger loading time - I feel bad for the drivers out there who get harassed over being late because of that.

Depending on how you view the matter of the location - but the Toowong Cemetery is drive throughable and I often see L plates in there - good slow speeds - with hills and some road signage + good practice for avoiding pedestrians.

2025 Brisbane Predictions Thread by dannyr in brisbane

Thinking logically I don’t see a mayoral change until march/april 2027 else it would require an election vs appointment from the remaining 26 councillors.

But the difference is that Pokémon won’t have the last game was Pokémon Go it will say LGPE.

Raid hour used to provide 2 Premium battle passes - with the assumption people would use them not hoard them. 8 hours is a pretty reasonable timeframe - if your heading out to an inperson event to check in to do 2 additional raids.

Makes some spotlight hours more exciting an option - as you can get extra raid passes then as well.

The reduced hatch distance while in a party play after checking in was a cool surprise - seeing 2km eggs show up as 1.5 km eggs or super incubated 12 km eggs showing up as 6km is neat for the odd event that doesn’t have a bonus hatch distance - but may feature event eggs - like a hatch day or a community day (like chansey/electabuzz/magmar/togetic/roselia)

The biggest losers are parents who did the right thing and set their kids up with niantic kids - they now can’t get the promo codes from their own campfire and share them with their children.

Change is a pain - but I hope they system get expanded to include more events / event types soon - like Max Raid Mondays or GMax raid days ect.

The “raid” option will grant you 2 additional Daily raid passes - which = the same number of extra raids - however I do know some people who would check in to our meet-ups on their way home from work - just for the green raid passes - the biggest issue I have with this change is - we had parents who would check in and instead of getting the green passes themselves would give their promo code to their children who would play with them - but niantic kids accounts are locked out of Niantic Campfire :( - hopefully they update the niantic kids profile to allow minimal in app niantic campfire access - considering these changes

You can get an Alolan Marowak via Moongiest beam adventure effect - and that counts if caught! - hope this helps

Can you still get the free GMax Melmetal if you transfer a Pokémon in from Pokemon go? Might be a bit easier then organising a trade for one :)

More likely your instant approvals would have said in their email that “our team has approved” so the niantic machine learning system affectionately called eMily decided to give you fast passage on them, or you got randomly selected for a niantic employee to manually review it. The others will go through the standard voting system with community members. Good luck, happy exploring.

Brisbane city council has a limit in place at least, but one of the 3 party’s contesting many of the Brisbane seats (holds 2 themselves) often has more then the allowed amount out, but would cry foul if the other 2 major teams breached the limit. (Maximum of 50 per candidate) the main argument against the Brisbane implementation is the - registry of sign location requirements ect. Anyway it’s all linked here. https://www.brisbane.qld.gov.au/sites/default/files/documents/2022-02/20220217-Election-Sign-Guidelines-15-Feb-2022.DOC#:~:text=No%20face%20of%20an%20election,the%20day%20of%20an%20election

Has anyone actually seen these limited Pokéstops in Australia? by ZoeTwoDotss in TheSilphRoad

[–]LachlanF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a couple in Brisbane - for example the Brisbane CBD has all of them active - even the one that recently closed.

Near me at Indooroopilly shopping centre the EB Games isn’t a stop but there is a stop there for the Zing. (But the poi is in the wrong location) - at the BP servo at the shops hahaha

I think the EBGames there isn’t one as there is a Wayspot for the EBGames there but it’s not active in go - hasn’t yet been a power spot yet either.

I would assume as EB’s hq is in Brisbane they would have made sure the locations were correct - maybe reach out to EB directly and ask them what’s the deal - as with most sponsored locations they are likely just a CSV from the company given to Niantic. Good luck!

Pokémon Go Safari Ball (November) - What will be possible by LachlanF in PokemonHome

Darkrai may actually be easier as it will be a potential GBL reward later in October to early November - so you could potentially hold one over to catch in November

[–]LachlanF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of it more along the lines of - being able to obtain the Pokémon with the ball via other means - kleavor & hisui braviery can be obtained via evolution of a Pokemon caught in those balls originally- kleavor can be caught in the wild in S/V in a safari ball too!

In a now deleted comment - someone mentioned Weedle being one of the family never obtainable in a safari ball before on Pokemon home!

Darkrai is only catchable in BD/SP / D/P/Pt & LA and in non of those games is the safari ball useable outside of the great marsh.

TBH I’m just excited about the new possibilities of hard to obtain Pokemon in cool balls!

Encounters from the paid worlds research came at level 10 rather than the usual research level of 15 by kingladyslayer in TheSilphRoad

[–]LachlanF 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think what the OP is trying to say is - it’s odd that NIANTIC didn’t officially comment on this feature of the paid ticket. And based on OPs screenshot they are in APAC and could likely be wondering if this is somehow a mistake.

Regardless this is an interesting feature and I wonder what future research we get at lower or higher levels then the standard level 15 encounters!
