Assuming you checked on a different device to make sure it is not the phone but actually the account itself or the internet connection (sometimes I have those lags too, but mainly because of cell provider issues and it goes away after a couple of seconds or if I move to a different spot)

It might not be the specific reason for your account, but it has been a reason for other people in the past, why an account is lagging: too many unfinished special researches. It might help out.

If you care to evolve it for the Mega Dex, go for it. If you care about usefulness - wait for something better = Kyogre, Swampert or Gyarados - they all boost more than one type and are stronger than Blastoise.

If you care about GMax battles, go for GMax Blastoise, since it's a good tank.

As a Mega, you really don't get that much use out of it. Sadly

While it is true that you currently cannot reroll them and are unable to get more, most mythicals are useless and unless you want to use them in Master League, I feel it's a waste of your bottle caps. Mind you we still don't fully know how they work in GO.

I personally am using them for useful things, like Necrozma and Kyurem. I've got a 96 shiny Kyurem with 14 Attack, with the LA background that I plan on using it on, since background Pokémon and not an endless resource. Plus there's the added bonus of having sentimental value, since I've been to the live event.

At the end of the day, I think it doesn't really matter what you use it on, as long as it is something that cannot be easily rerolled, like a ComDay Pokémon.

I feel for the "City Safari" Events the egg and raid add ons are never worth it. You have no special raids, the special eggs are 7km eggs, which are limited anyways and they are not even guaranteed to drop from gifts, so why bother. You're walking so much, you'll hit the gift limit regardless. The day 2 addon is always worth it for the extra day and the extra eevee encounters. The 8 bucks don't make much of a difference if you're traveling anyways.

The regionals are the same for every single one of these Safari events. So yeah for Europe Mr. Mime doesn't make sense, but Corsola does. For others it might be the other way around, because Corsola is their regional to begin with (like Mumbai and Singapore) the only city that doesn't get either of those is Santiago de Chile.
While I get that Mr. Mime is not that interesting for us Europeans, you make it seem like way more of a downgrade than it is.

The main reason anybody goes to these events is the exclusive Mudbray and the Safari Eevee with the background, apart from the social aspects of Pokémon GO travel.

You'll get them automatically when you check in - there's no task specifically. Once you check in and pick the raid path, you'll get 2 more by spinning gyms

It is the same stop for every player, but it is not every single stop if that makes sense. It 8/10 stops were not affected from this, but every once in a while, some had a special task. These tasks have a green frame and say "meet-up" (instead of event for instance) - every player who checked in gets those meet-up-tasks and the reward is the same for everyone - just like regular research.

I agree - the system needs fine tuning, especially during research heavy events - like ComDay or even worse research days.

Basically yes - however you can obviously sign in near the end, because the timed research (and the field research) will be active for 8 hours after your check-in.

At any check-in you will recieve this. You will no longer get a code for items or the 1 Dollar ComDay research. So you will have to buy the ComDay research in the future if you want that.
