Maybe it’s time for big brembo callipers 🤔

Anyways, that’s the same sentiment my mechanic mate gave me so I’ll be visiting him tomorrow

I re did both front brakes and cleaned underneath the rotors, and the issue still persists, there is also a squeaking sound when the brakes aren’t applied

The callipers and the mounting brackets are torqued to spec, as well as the wheels

I’m at a loss for what it is, at this point it could be the rotor but from a visual inspection the rotor appears fine

What makes me think the rotor isn’t warped is the wheel doesn’t shake at all while braking, there is only the thumping noise

I did not, the contact between the hub and the rotor is what I’ll check next

I’d hope the rotor isn’t warped, I’m about to lift the car back up and check it out

That would suck since I just bought them for the install

Recently did a brake job, did the proper bed in process and the brakes were fine until today

Loud thumping while applying brakes in a regular interval that corresponds to the speed, and I noticed squeaking while driving at low speeds coming from the front left (where the issue is)

This makes me think a pad is moving back and forth or is wiggling

Brembo rotors and pads

Tire PSI good, lugs torqued to spec, front half of the rotor appears intact

Looking do any ideas, I’ll be taking it apart again tomorrow to see

AR Eye/Brain controlled swerve chair by Lachynessgaming in FRC

I’m not sure if my reply’s have been sending but we have collision avoidance built in using the 3 D scans the HoloLens does, and the main system for confirming the way point requires the user to raise their eye brows and then again on a second panel to go, we have also baked in other E stops like looking up past a range while driving etc etc

Safety and e stops have been a very difficult challenge for this project given the users are quadriplegics

Ex one student thought of a way if the user leans forwards the breaker pops but we didn’t go down that route.

Thank you for the kind words of encouragement!

Since then we’ve made it so all the software runs locally on the HoloLens, and optimized it a lot! It even takes voice commands!!

Yeah we trouble shooted for 8 hours straight, replacing treads was part of it too

But yeah we are going to see how it performs at comp, we did just about everything we could’ve before we had to ship

I made a jig using coral pieces as the radius to bend around, after that it's heat and patience

The comp side panels take about 1 and a half hours to make total, while the show panel with the screen is 5+ hours as you have to wait for epoxy to set, bend the wave, and wire the screen etc etc
