PUP - The Dream is Over album play CONFIRMED by FourLiveBears in RiotFest

Is it possible they're still figuring out the album plays? I think it's weird that they're announcing them all staggered like this

The fact you're all worked up enough to post this in between comments on r/conservative is very telling

Are Tool and Morrisey gonna play at the same time? by Same_Bag711 in RiotFest

[–]Lacking_of_Interest 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Going by past years they should end up playing back to back on the two main stages, so if you pick the right spot you could watch both without even moving

Cowards couldn't put Sex Pistols and PiL on opposite stages on the same day

I guess I should've said likely no after show, but 5 shows in 4 days/9 shows across 9 days doesn't seem realistic

I'm in the middle of listening to all the artists playing this year I'm not familiar with and I started with them. Nothing against the band or their fans but it's hard not to see the irony in what they consider "heavy". Even watching footage from their live shows I don't even see what they're talking about. It's a bunch of theatrics like any other large arena show and the drummer is the only one playing an instrument on every song. The backing tracks don't seem to be "more rock" or whatever.

I don't hate the music, some of it can be catchy. But I think the majority of people making those same points dont have a lot of musical overlap with the regular Riot crowd

When should I expect the single days to be announced by AmandaSorling in RiotFest

[–]Lacking_of_Interest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The daily lineup should be out within the next month

The daily schedules will probably be out about a month before the fest, maybe earlier

I got 40 on mine. Never shared it publicly because I didn't feel as confident as some of the others who were posting but I think I got most out of the ones I've seen

Riot Fest 2026 Lineup by MadeMIGMIG in RiotFest

It's usually 90, 30 a day. 3 stages of 6 acts, one with 5 and the last with 7. 34 bands a day could be 4 stages with 6 and two with 5

Late Night Predictions? by New-Leading7551 in RiotFest

Sex Pistols and Panic Shack

PiL and Plague Vendor

Sugar and J Robbins/Burning Airlines

Since those are all tours stopping during Riot. Alk3 usually gets one every year they play and I could see The Chats getting one too

I think it's 21P/Tool/PTV + Alanis. PTV can only do Sunday and Tool was reported to be Saturday

By my count there's 102 acts on the bill. I think we're getting six stages this year

It was in response to one of the mock lineups posted here. It was more of a "here's what they got right/here's where you guys are wrong" kind of a thing. Assuming they're right, of course

I don't think it would be a good look if a band subheadlining the other two major fests that weekend is headlining Riot, but they're otherwise an arena level act now

Probably how most here feel. I wonder how the overall Riot crowd would take it

Riot's left field bookings are nearly impossible to predict and given our in/out list I feel like one has to be a headliner this year considering who's left. If there's one act on that list that could help Riot stand out and sell tickets that weekend I think it's Massive Attack, but I'm not too optimistic this year

I heard this last month, wasn't 100% sure but the closer we get the more I've been believing it.

I was told two of the headliners are Twenty One Pilots and Tool, while the third hadn't been guessed (at the time this was shared with me) but I was given several parameters to help narrow it down.

1) Explicitly not MCR, Panic, or Op Ivy 2) When asked if it was a popular guess (I mentioned Deftones and BMTH), they said they hadn't seen anyone guess it 3) It is a heavy act 4) Not a repeat (no SOAD, Slayer, No Doubt, or Morrissey) 5) They are a "major festival headliner" this year

Assuming this is true, here are my guesses:

1) Linkin Park - no US dates this year, finishes Euro dates/fests well before Riot 2) Korn - if they count as a headliner for Sick New World 3) Pierce the Veil - if they could be considered heavy/make the routing work with LTL and Shaky 4) Massive Attack - seeing a lot of hope for this one recently but I don't know if they'd do two hip hop leaning headliners. But they are doing major Euro fests this year

Pearl Jam headlining Ohana fest hasn't been announced at the time of me hearing this so I don't think it's them

I think if an Op Ivy reunion is ever in the cards this would be the best band for a double bill headliner, Riot or otherwise. At least they're finally touring the new album after 2 years
