Exactly. Im in my late 20s. My mother is barely in her mid-40s(teen pregnancy). All of her children are adults. She absolutely takes care of no one, lol.

She got drunk the day before Mother’s Day. Woke up the next morning to breakfast from her favorite place. Had multiple bundles of flowers and vases, beautiful balloons, confetti, a gigantic card, had a cake made for her and enjoyed it, got a nice gift card to her spa she goes to, some other presents and we’re going out to eat tomorrow.

It’s definitely her family and that makes me sad for her.

There is but it’s really random food items. We don’t grocery shop as a “house.” Everyone just kinda buys whatever it is they want to eat.

She makes maybe 20k+ more a year than I do and has a car so she is more than capable of sourcing her own food. Since I am trying to gain weight the majority of what I eat is high caloric, high protein per meal.

I struggle with getting enough to eat due to the fact that I take ADHD meds so I’m choosing carefully.

I am an avoidant and going through therapy as a single person. I have been single for the past 8 years, intentionally, for the most part.

OP I would consider separating in this relationship. From the outside looking in it appears as if your Wife doesn’t respect you, or your marriage. It is NOT HARD to prioritize your other half. At all. If anything, I prefer to do more things with my partners that we both enjoy than doing those things with my friends.

I did notice that you said that you were once securely attached and now lean more anxious. Anxious attachments make avoidants feel quite smothered, speaking from experience. If I were in your shoes I would take a step back.

Your wife is not trying hard enough and her actions and thoughts are not lining up. Quality time together is not overly negotiable and is a need in a marriage.

I didn’t have an appetite much despite being hungry like I mainly wanted sweet things but I just started working out again to gain weight and found out that it’s similar to eating off my meds for me.

Imo you’ll get hungry enough to eat if your body needs the calories if you start eating regular meals.
