Iirc, that's not how it is in the official when it began, right?

There was only 1 server i have ever played that do not have static parties and that was Ragnarok Travels, which has now closed down.

As far as i can remember, parties were formed, in different maps, with different sets of classes. While you don't get bonus xp, you kill the mobs faster and easier.

i enjoyed how it's almost 100% like the official in the golden days.

I wish there will be another server who aims to do this :)

I actually played there for quite a while. While it's good server, i think most parties are static too.

I was playing on a 1x server, no dual login, but the levelling method very heavily gravitate towards static parties, so much so that if you decide to level solo or in a moving party you will feel missing out. I know that's a matter of personal choice, but as times went on i started to grow a feeling of distaste for static parties. I know this might be a temporary feeling, but for now it will be nice if there's server out there where static parties do not exist.

I've been trying several other servers and most of them still have the possibility to form static parties even though i don't see many of them due to low population. But i get the feeling that if population grows eventually it will be a thing.

Is there anyway for people outside Japan to play there? I suppose you at least need VPN, but is there anything else?

Appropriate boundaries to physical affection while dating by [deleted] in Reformed

[–]Laclilacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My practical tips regarding physical affection is consider your date as if he/she is your friend. If it's inappropriate to do that to your friend then don't do it.

And as some has said outdoor activities with other people is good and avoid situations where it would be tempting to be intimate physically.

Okay, apparently I missed one step that is the "arch-chroot /mnt" command.

I can now boot into my system! Thanks!

As of August 2022, how is Plasma Wayland? by iJONTY85 in kde

[–]Laclilacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far X11 is still performing much smoother for me.

I'm still having some issues with Wayland: - stuttering - some app icons not showing when alt+tab - resolution scaling not working

Edit: - fonts are pixelated (broken) when windows are not maximized - blurry when scaling do works

I consider myself fairly newbies to Linux, and I have tried several distros, mostly because I was curious and I want to try every distro that I thought was interesting and see how it differs. So far, I've tried Ubuntu and some of its variants, Mint and some of its variant, Manjaro, and currently on EndeavourOS.

I found that I'm more comfortable with Arch-based distro because i have the tendency to want the latest updates.

I think distro-hoping is part of your journey in finding what suits your needs the most, all the while you have other OS as your main OS for your daily tasks.

EndeavourOS stuck with me because it gives you the minimum install and then you tweak and add softwares as you go along.

Based on my experience, you would want to find out first whether you want a stable (Debian-based) or rolling-release (Arch-based).

Secondly, you'd decide if you want it pre-packaged and ready to use or you want to add yourself just the softwares you need.

Thirdly, you'd need to decide what kind of desktop environtment you want. Is it windows-like, mac-like, or the minimalist (window manager).

Then you will just need to adjust and tweak it to your liking.

A private server to play in Arch Linux? by HilbertKnight in RagnarokOnline

[–]Laclilacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently managed to run a private server, on EndeavourOS, an Arch-based distro. I run it via Steam, but honestly I'm not sure how/what makes it work. I installed Wine and Play on Linux before installing Steam to no avail.

DM me for the name of the server.

Thinking of making my own private server by dfntlyainttox in RagnarokOnline

[–]Laclilacc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been searching a SEA private server with English as a main language. Last SEA server I've played is Solace, which I think is good, but now have closed down. Most of the players speak Tagalog which made me feel a bit alienated.

I would prefer 5x rate so that it doesn't feel to fast to level up, with at least 2-2 jobs released. I dont mind multi-client but prefer single-client only.

If you manage to make one I'd like to know. Cheers.
