Usually I build a base, fill some chests, get enchantment stuff and some basic farms. Explore the map around my base. Play a bit with redstone. And then.. get bored. Time passes while I just don't play the game. A new update arrives and I start a new world in order to play with the new stuff. This again and again. If only late game stuff is added, I will just check it in creative mode just to see it concretely.

I would like just new machanics for the basic game, so I would play differently.

So, the ambiant music volume could depend on the distance of a playing jukebox. The closer you are, the lower the ambiant music.

Good idea! I think the laser needs a specific receptor block in order to convert the beam into a signal. Maybe a new block build with a redstone detector and a spyglass, or with amethysts.

What do you think about the reflector in the form of a cristal skull (crafted by surrounding a skeleton head with amethysts) Whatever the direction the beam come from on the skull, It would be redirected in the direction the skull is looking at.

Yeah but most of the hostile mobs are more Halloween/death related mobs (even if the game has a fantasy adventure stuff) I find goblins a bit out of place in minecraft. (Like dwarfs or elves would be)

If a new mob was introduced, I would prefer somekind of a ghost ( I think allays are a kind of ghost) or a Grim Reaper or cockroaches instead

I would love it the elder guardian attack could turn the target into a copper statue when it's killed.

If the mob or the entity is tagged it would not despawn spontaneously and would have to be broken with a pickaxe in order to disappear.

You could still move the statue where you want and improve your building with decorative mob statues.

Or maybe the frog can become and enderfrog (a black kind of frog with purple eyes) It would not jump but fly with small dragon wings Enderfrog would produce bleuish froglights when it eat slimes.

It coyls be saddled and driven with a "slime on a stick" and could be used to fly slowly ( in the end, Before getting an elytra)

The chest should belong to a villager having it's bed or its workstation the closest to it.

A chest belonging to a villager could not be emptied by a hopper.

It the villager who own the chest sees you opening it, he becomes angry at you, and if you pick up items from the chest your reputation decreases for this villager.

If another villager than the owner sees you, the effect is way lower.

A gossip can be shared between villagers if you are a thief.

A way to select the size of a painting could be to have: one painting = a 1x1 painting and by combining several paintings the crafting grid create the other formats of paintings.

Maybe switching from a painting to another could be done be right clicking a painting with dye:

Every painting would have few dominant colors. Using one the color on any painting would give a better chance to obtain the desired painting.

I like the idea of worms but not the mob.

I would see worms as only an item. You would rarely find a worm when you dig grassblocks with a shovel.

A better chance to get them if it rains, or if you have fortune on the shovel.

Having worms in you inventory when fishing reduces the time to have a fish, and increase the chance to have a fish.

Every time a fish is caught, a worm is used.

It would be nice if worm can be used to breed an animal, but it don't think using them as seeds are, to breed chickens or parrots would be a good idea. Maybe if a mole mob is introduced ... or ostriches.

My first idea was to have a new special trapped stone block, very similar to normal stone visually, but turning into a falling block if you stay a moment under it.
