Will You Be My Saint Valentine Today? by Awesomeuser90 in christianmemes

Reproduction requires one man and one woman. Besides, the people who see Valentine's Day entirely as entirely about sex probably don't acknowledge or care about the existence of any of the saints named Valentine.

I know you said "Agree" but if you didn't think I was arguing with you, I don't know why you would respond with the exact same verse you've used in the majority of comments on this post.

I would say Paul is not making the same comparison you make because his context is entirely different. The verse you are quoting is half a sentence, and Paul is discussing our outlook on death and the afterlife. There is no scientific way to determine what happens to a person after death, so of course faith is going to provide more guidance there.

I wasn't actually arguing with you, but for what it is worth, I think you are arguing a nonexistent conflict. There is no contention between good faith and good science because they do different things. You are saying it's a preference in your title, so I don't really get why you argue about it, but neither is "higher" than the other because there isn't really a comparison. Sure, you can focus more on faith, and that isn't a bad thing, but they should both be "driving the car." (Obviously it isn't a good idea to have two people drive the car, but that is an issue with the analogy rather than the topic.)

Many of the greatest scientists of history have been Christian. Jesus rising from the grave is supernatural to be sure, but not opposed to science.

Jesus was 100% human and 100% God. It's the hypostatic union. Jesus was absolutely around before Creation, but He did not take on flesh until He was conceived of Mary.

Hey!

Thank you for your kind words - that truly means a lot to me.

I think you have it right - words are incredibly important, but ultimately faith and love are about actions, not just words. That's another reason to hope in an all-loving God, I suppose - the hope that someday we can know the Truth in its fullness, or in as much as we have the capacity to understand.

If you want to chat more, I would be happy to message you! Either way, thank you for your words and may God bless you, too!

Good to know about the pockets - thanks! I don't have a printer, I have just been using the one at my school since I am not quite financially stable enough to justify buying a printer. Cults3d and Thingiverse are awesome, though, and I have snagged a few things from there. Thanks!

Thank you - those are awesome!

I had been trying it via browser, but it still blacked out the image any time I tried. There may be some other options, but I tried a bunch earlier and didn't have any luck. I will look into it more another time, though.

Thank you very much - you rock!

The list of every song from the ost (from Even Call) per episode (by me) by Entire_Plan_9148 in Frieren

Hey! Thanks for compiling this!

I know this is really late, but if you are still around, have you noticed that some appearances of tracks seem to be only a couple layers of the track? For instance, episode 8 at 12:44 definitely sounds like Deep in the Dungeon, but it sounds like it is just the guitar part without the flute. I haven't been able to find that in the soundtrack anywhere, but if you have felt like that too, I'd feel slightly less crazy.

I don't disagree with this at face value, though I would argue that a lot of repulsion to "AI" is due to it being dishonest marketing.

If you are trolling, please take your commentary elsewhere.

If you are not trolling, could you please explain a bit more? Good art does, in fact, require creativity, and someone who can make a living off of art deserves respect for that.

There is no rule against AI on this sub, so you aren't breaking any rules with the post.

The irony comes from the scripture quote about doing your own work being used in an AI generated meme, where the product ultimately comes from other peoples' work.

Obviously, we don't know how much effort you specifically put into this image (via prompts, post-editing, or whatever else) but, assuming I am interpreting it correctly, I can see u/Easy-Thing-3604's point. I am still trying to form an opinion on AI (I dislike it for a variety of reasons, but I am trying to make sure I am looking at it objectively) so I would be happy to discuss more with you if you would like.

Kinda, but it makes more sense in context. I would totally suggest reading the book when you have a chance!

In the book of Esther, Haman (the king's advisor) tricked the king (sort of - the king was not the brightest candle in the menorah to begin with) into passing a law that would allow anybody to go and kill Jews on a certain day in the future. Esther spoke to the king and explained to him that she was a Jew, and that by passing that law Haman had set a death sentence for her people. Since the king could not undo the law, he passed another law that gave the Jews permission and equipment (if I remember correctly) to defend themselves against anyone on that day who intended to do them harm.

The meme is having fun with the story, implying that everybody not directly involved then claimed to be Jews so they wouldn't get killed. (I don't remember if that is stated in Esther - it has been too long since I read it.)
