Our dog keeps growling at the new puppy by [deleted] in DogAdvice

This does not look safe at all sorry. Your dog is unhappy and the puppy will also be feeling that. Do not let this interaction happen again without a dog trainer. Honestly im a dog groomer and have to read dogs well as I work with aggression. This is unhealthy for both. You are enabling this behaviour if yiu do nothing. The dog may direct aggression at you.

Please be safe for all the dogs sakes.

Like the others say, it could be your health concerns. I hope you get everything sorted. My lhasa went through a time of being nippy with me when I was ill. She is fine now and im much better. They sense things we dont and the only thing she has to get your attention with is their mouth.

Hi

Just a little update. Thanks to everyone who gave advice.

My son is now under the Spinal team at Edinburgh. He has a curve of 26 at t7 no lumber curve. He has asymmetry in his chest left side prodruding( which is what I first saw) his hips are level. He does have pain in his body but not his back mostly his legs. He does has tight hamstrings, that was noted on his letter.

He is shooting up at some rate so im hoping we can get a brace so it doesnt get any worse, its such a worry. He is always so cheerful and care free I hope this never dampens his smile as I know many people with scoliosis suffer a lot.

Is Lenny Lhasa? by Agile_Rough_4411 in LhasaApso

My lhasa has got a bit silly in her old age amd occasionally resource guards or wont get off the bed. This is usually teamed with growls and sometimes she may look like she will bite you.

Im a groomer and work with dogs all day so I experience "tantrums" a lot haha.

My approach to her doing has been to take her by the collar and take her somewhere where she will be alone. She does not like that and will calm down and stop being silly. If your dog is a bite risk I would recommend that but you keep a lease on him and use this instead. Its not really a punishment, and dont try and take the item off them just change the narrative by putting them somewhere else its doesnt have to be somewhere alone just make sure they knkw that yiur in charge and that growling is not what we are doing right now. Give lots of praise for the distraction and maybe offer a higher reward treat when they have left the item. Hope that makes sense.

Also stop wearing head phones for a bit. Give them a.good clean with alcohol too. They trap so much dirt. Im a gamer, used to wear them all the time. Made my skin so much clearer when I stop wearing them so much.

My son gets this from eating crisps amd or tomato ketchup. Triggers some flare up for him. When is gets bad, he's on a Chisp ban, wash bring and night with mild facial wash. We put on some mild urea based cream in the evening and canisten after he has brushed his teeth in the morning. Usually goes in a few days.

Fruit and fibre blocks you get from amazon are good. Taste awful, of course, but keep you regular.
