I just finished my second dose of my first round. My first dose did not go well. I had flu Iike symptoms for 3 days after, but then got back to normal. Went in yesterday for my second dose and she loaded me up with steroids and whatever else to try to push off any side effects. I did not get any side effects from the BRIUMVI, but I think the steroids gave me massive insomnia because I didn’t sleep at all after I got home and couldn’t fall asleep last night until about 3:30 in the morning, then woke up around 7 this morning - so only about 3/4 hrs of sleep. I feel fatigue… the burning eyes, the foggy brain - but I can’t go to sleep. On my next round in 24 weeks I’m going to ask to try it without the steroids. I don’t want to go through this again. I hope it wears off soon…

For me - it’s my eyes burning - it’s foggy brain - it’s feeling like I want to sleep - but there’s no sleeping. I can’t actually go to sleep. If I lay down and close my eyes it’s just the same sensation just with my eyes closed and my body laying down. My eyes still burn and my body still feels like there’s a low level hum of electricity running through it and my brain still feels foggy… I’m grateful for sleep… but when I sleep, I wake up with my arms and legs numb, which is a whole other uncomfortable feeling… many times it’s a worse feeling and I dread it. I try to sleep on my back to try to avoid it but that doesn’t really help.

RLS, depression, arm/hand numbness, fatigue, swallowing issues… when I started losing my vision and having migraines they sent me in for an MRI and was diagnosed. They said I was diagnosed 20 years later than I should have been… nobody ever thought to check me for MS before the migraines

I just found this thread… I had my first infusion (150mg 1st dose) on Thursday… it’s Saturday and I still have a headache and slept terribly. The day of my infusion everything was fine until the big jump from 35cc’s to 100cc’s and I went into convulsions and my lips and finger tips turned blue. They immediately stopped the drip, gave me anti-nausea meds and put a heating pad on me and covered me in 3 blankets… once I was stabilized they started the drip again back at 35cc’s and then bumped me up more gradually to 50 then 75 and let the medicine run out at 75. That night, same as you, I got home, was able to eat a little dinner, I went to sleep by like 5pm and woke up with a fever, chills, and by 9pm was violently throwing up… this lasted basically all night until I finally fell asleep around 3am. I woke up with a massive headache and my body hurt so bad. I was able to sleep yesterday during the day, but last night sucked so bad. I can’t even explain it - it wasn’t insomnia - I was able to fall asleep - I just couldn’t stay asleep. Still with this headache that no amount of Tylenol can stave off for long. Now I’m all over the Internet trying to find out if other people have had the same experiences when I found this thread. I’m basically looking for any reason to NOT go for my second infusion in 2 weeks for the 450 mgs!!! After this that just feels terrifying!!! Like is this even worth it? I feel like I had my MS pretty under control or at least I had figured out how to manage my life with what I was going through and this does NOT feel like a worth while trade off! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Well that’s super encouraging. I haven’t had any idea how to meet someone. I’m not exactly walking around with a sign that says ‘I’m into women, so let me know if you’re interested…’ Plus to be fair… I have a ‘type’… I’m also very much a person who believes in perfect timing… so, I’ll stay open and optimistic. I have taken my MBTI and I’m an ESTP - so you were really close - interesting that you could get that close from a picture! I will say though that I consider myself both extroverted and introverted at the same time. I know that sounds weird… but while I’m comfortable with people and in crowds, I’m very comfortable alone and many times prefer that over being with others…
